"Simply the Best"
I purchased this rig from SKD @ 10 years ago. I have used it extensively in the "Back Country". I feel that this rig is "Simply the Best". It is extremely durable. The pockets/compartments are sewn on instead of attached by molle, thus there is less movement and is lighter than a molle set up. I can wear the rig by itself, I can throw it over a slick plate carrier or I can attach it to a plate carrier via swift clips for a more heavy and overt set up. I can carry up to eight magazines if needed. The pre-configured set up is ideal "for me". Outside pockets can accommodate extra magazines, radios, med kit, small Nalgene water bottle. There are four pistol magazine pouches that can be used for their intended reason, pocket knife, Leatherman tool, Surefire flashlight. The two smaller GP pouches can be used for head lamps, compass, face paint, garmin etc. The rig works for me. In my opinion it's the "one stop" option. The configuration works for me. The rig is a little to large for really low profile/vis stuff, for that I like the T-Rex ready rig and the Spiritus Bank Robber rig. If your in "Duty" oriented occupation, you can't go wrong with this rig. Just "Two Cents" from an "Old SF Weapons Guy"

good adaptable rig
Sweet rig. Wanted something adaptable that could be paired with a PC, so I could either rock a slickster or a dedicated LBE rig. The swift clips make that super easy. Also, the fact this carries four mags up front, plus options to carry four extra with the side GP/radio pouches make this a great option if you want the ability to carry lots of ammo. Way more versatile than the micro rigs every seems so obsessed with right now. Only problem I have with it is the bungies that hold the mags in are hard to get used to/use effectively. Easy solution is to buy some HSP kydex inserts or just to train more... which honestly is probably the best solution. Either way it's def not a deal breaker.
