HSGI Double Decker "TACO" Magazine Pouch

Double Decker "TACO" , Modular single rifle and pistol magazine pouch. Just like its older brother this unique pouch will hold more types of mags than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold Magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1, G3, Saiga 12, and more..... even some types of radios. It will also hold the large Flash bangs and the M-18 Smoke grenades. This mag pouch measures 3" in width. Made of Cordura, Kydex and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.

The "TACO" maintains a positive grip of the mag on which is adjustable and does not need use of any other securing systems unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop Velcro is sewn in the inside of the Rifle pouch if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook Velcro on his magazine body for added security. But not only will this pouch hold ANY Rifle magazine, it will hold ANY Pistol Magazine. Single Stack or Double Stack.

Made in the USA and is covered by the HSGI Lifetime warranty.

Dimensions: 3"H x 2.2"W x 5"L

Bulky but saves Molle Space on warbelt

Posted by Average Guy on 2nd Jan 2014

Pros: Easy to withdraw mag. Fits multiple mags. Excellent construction. Cons: Difficult to replace mag into pouch (compared to Kiwi's), installation is a pain, have to manage loose bungee cord. For my purposes: I was having trouble reaching my 2nd AR15 Mag on my belt due to it being at a 7 o'clock position. I removed dedicated pistol pouches and consolidated with these; i was able to move these to a 9 to 11 o'clock for easier access. The only negative is the added bulk in exchange for more molle space.

HSGI "TACOs" are outstanding open top mag holders. I bought it for it's ability to retain my .308 mags but still be fairly slim on my plate carrier. Also, I was sick of buying multiple pouches for 5.56 and .308 and placing them on different vests. This pouch solves it all. I can easily switch between the two by simply taking out the mags and putting the others in (then synching down the drawstring if needed). This gives me the ability to use a single plate carrier rather than two separate ones. The double decker allows for the exact same universal capability, switching from double stack .45 mags to single stack mags with no modification whatsoever. Also, flashlights, Multitools, knives and anything of similar size fit perfectly in these mags. Unless HSGI finds a way to improve/update these, I will probably never own another kind of Mag pouch ever again. AWESOME PRODUCT! Highly recommend!

Best damn pouch in the world.

Like the Single mag pouch, but with the same style pistol pouch on the outside. I use one of these on my setups to carry my primary ammo and 2 pistol mags. Just buy these, cuz they are the freakin best. I put flashlights, mags, knives, candy bars, redbulls, condoms, or anything you can imagine inside of these. Can carry more mags and any shape or size mags for either primary weapon or secondary, depending on what I need. You can even cinch the large pouch down and put glock17 mags securely into them. If you need some extra insurance, buy bungees that HSGI sells and they can secure the crap inside.

    Once and Done Pouch

I love the modularity of the TACO, so if I change rifles I don't have to MOLLE on new pouches. The only gripe is the initial install but it is a one time affair. As with all HSGI products I've owned the construction and quality of materials is second to none.
