HSGI Double Decker "TACO" Magazine Pouch

Double Decker "TACO" , Modular single rifle and pistol magazine pouch. Just like its older brother this unique pouch will hold more types of mags than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold Magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1, G3, Saiga 12, and more..... even some types of radios. It will also hold the large Flash bangs and the M-18 Smoke grenades. This mag pouch measures 3" in width. Made of Cordura, Kydex and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.

The "TACO" maintains a positive grip of the mag on which is adjustable and does not need use of any other securing systems unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop Velcro is sewn in the inside of the Rifle pouch if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook Velcro on his magazine body for added security. But not only will this pouch hold ANY Rifle magazine, it will hold ANY Pistol Magazine. Single Stack or Double Stack.

Made in the USA and is covered by the HSGI Lifetime warranty.

Dimensions: 3"H x 2.2"W x 5"L

    Best Pouches Out There

Posted by Stephen Kot on 25th Sep 2013

If you haven't tried these pouches yet you're missing out. They're secure and speedy, customizable to hold pretty much anything, light, low profile, and come in a variety of useful colors and patterns. Simply the best, I plan to replace all my mag pouches with HSGI Taco pouches.

    Excellent product

I was looking for a AR/Pistol mag set up that would take up the least amount of space on a plate carrier. This fits the bill. As with any HSGI product this one if well made and it meets my needs. I highly recommend it. I also like that I can us it for just about any rifle or pistol mag.

    Love these pouches!!!

After being in the Army Infantry overseas and using a multitude of GI mag pouches and gear, and some personally bought gear that were sub par. Now being a civilian and using many different brands of mag pouches and gear i have to say HSGI Taco pouches are some of the most thought out, versatile and user friendly mag pouches out here. Mounted them and instantly fell in love with them.

    Great but Needs Mounting Changes

Posted by Eric on 4th Sep 2013

These pouches are a great way to carry your spare mags, whether you are just out at the range for fun or taking a carbine/pistol class. They are VERY fast to reload from and won't drop your mags out when moving around. My only gripe: Do yourself a favor and get some MOLLE Stix or MOLLE Loks, or even just paracord them on. I don't care how you mount them but trying to deal with the included MALICE Clips just about drove me insane. Maybe I just wasn't doing it right but it took me about 20 minutes to mount two of these to my HSGI belt. I haven't had that much trouble mounting anything else before. Once you do manage to get them hooked up they don't move around though so that is a plus. Overall great but I think they could rework the mounting system a bit.

Step 1: Get Tacos Step2: Repeat Step 1.

I get that some people need X chest rig with cool guy Y panels, and if they get the super special Z version then they have the option of unhooking their panels and swapping a different caliber set in, and that's fine. For the rest of us... Tacos handle everything from 308 AI mags, 20 round USGI 556, 308 PMAG, AK mag, 40 round PMAG, some radios, basically anything you could stuff in there. So why bother with a mag carrier that can ONLY carry one specific mag? I HIGHLY recommend the Raven Concealment Moduloader system to attach these to a belt. A 5 "finger" RCS with a double decker taco and a pistol/rifle gives you three AR mags and a pistol, light, tool carrier etc all in one nice package that can slip on / slip off (rcs paddle attachment to belt). Or, go ahead and get a bunch of different rigs for different guns. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get these, but now I can NOT go back!

Great pouch but a pain to loop onto molle

Posted by Bobby Lim on 3rd Aug 2013

Love the mag pouches and they have great retention. It's a knuckle buster getting the malice clips through the molle though.

    good stuff

Posted by Benjamin Park on 3rd Aug 2013

Really good construction. A Pain to put on, but once it's on, it's not going anywhere. The only con I have with the taco line is reholstering the mags. The side's close up when removing the mags so you have to mash around the mag to put it back in. Also if you like to beer can your mags, this is not for you as the pistol mags stick way out.
