HSGI Double Decker "TACO" Magazine Pouch

Double Decker "TACO" , Modular single rifle and pistol magazine pouch. Just like its older brother this unique pouch will hold more types of mags than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold Magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1, G3, Saiga 12, and more..... even some types of radios. It will also hold the large Flash bangs and the M-18 Smoke grenades. This mag pouch measures 3" in width. Made of Cordura, Kydex and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.

The "TACO" maintains a positive grip of the mag on which is adjustable and does not need use of any other securing systems unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop Velcro is sewn in the inside of the Rifle pouch if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook Velcro on his magazine body for added security. But not only will this pouch hold ANY Rifle magazine, it will hold ANY Pistol Magazine. Single Stack or Double Stack.

Made in the USA and is covered by the HSGI Lifetime warranty.

Dimensions: 3"H x 2.2"W x 5"L

    Top notch

Bought this to replace the eagle fb pouches I had. Currently own two tacos right now. I had two eagle fb pouches and the glock double pistol fb pouch on an ats war belt. These taco pouches took up a lot less room which is what I was looking for. 4 columns vs 7 columns of molle. They hold all my mags very tightly. I've only tried m4 mags, glock 17 mags, 1911 mags, and 5.7 mags. Holds them all perfectly. Wouldn't mind having a few more. Skdtac shipped fast also!

    Love this product

I love how universal this pouch is, only thing I found a little frustrating was the Malice clips. Being used to the military Molle pouches this was a littlw new.

    Pretty Good for the Design

Much like regular TACOs these pouches are great for immediate access. However I find it difficult to use them for tactical reload pouches for other platforms other than an AR15. Using these as emergency reload pouches is great. The double stack feature is a lot more slim than stacking two TACOs.

    OKay

I bought this pouch because it seemed like an interesting take on a standard rifle+pistol mag pouch. Attaching the pouch is weird and I found the design to be awkward (This is coming from someone who almost exclusively uses malice clips). The pouch sits a little bit loose even when threaded perfectly. This is defiantly not HSGI's best work and for the asking price of $40 Its hard to recommend this item.

    The Preferred Taco

Posted by AOS Gear on 15th Aug 2012

I have owned the stand alone pistol and rifle taco's and decided to combine to two to save space and I am glad I did. These ares high quality pieces of gear that are far superior to Esstac KYWI and ITW Fast Mags. Definitely recommend a taco to anyone needing a way to carry their mags.

    Awesome

Although it the most difficult pouch ive tried to install, it only took about 30 min to put 4 on my vest. Fits all my mags great, only thing im worried about is long term durability of the shock cord and dirt/debris getting into my mags. Only time will tell... Great pouch though, will order more for my TYR Pico PC

    Perfect

Got 2 fake taco before, lost a glock mag. I was afraid of getting my mags lost from the real one as well, but when I received it, I can say it's perfect.

HSGI Double Decker Taco Mag Pouch

Posted by JRun on 4th Jun 2012

I am running a PIG carrier with elastic cb. I like the idea of using a couple DD tacos to carry PMAGS and either pistol mags, multitool, or flashlight in front making the most of the limited real estate. I was initially concerned about the retention being too tight or the opposite, too sloppy. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to insert the mags and retrieve them with little difficulty. The mags are held securely. If you buy the taco be ready to spend some frustrating time attaching them. I made the decision that once they are on, I will not be moving them around.
