HSGI Double Decker "TACO" Magazine Pouch
Double Decker "TACO" , Modular single rifle and pistol magazine pouch. Just like its older brother this unique pouch will hold more types of mags than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold Magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1, G3, Saiga 12, and more..... even some types of radios. It will also hold the large Flash bangs and the M-18 Smoke grenades. This mag pouch measures 3" in width. Made of Cordura, Kydex and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.
The "TACO" maintains a positive grip of the mag on which is adjustable and does not need use of any other securing systems unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop Velcro is sewn in the inside of the Rifle pouch if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook Velcro on his magazine body for added security. But not only will this pouch hold ANY Rifle magazine, it will hold ANY Pistol Magazine. Single Stack or Double Stack.

Works well, ridiculously difficult to mount
As others say, these are extremely difficult to install. If you watch the video a few times and really crank on the pouch and MALICE clip with pliers, you might get the first one done in 30-60 minutes. If you treat it decently like expensive gear it will take you a lot longer. Inserting the MALICE clip is like pushing a string through a brick. I got one installed with the MALICE clip and then installed two with Blackhawk speed clips, which still took 5 minutes each but was tons easier and didn't require abusing the pouch. Once you finally get it installed, it works very well for AR15 mags. It's both short and small for AK47 mags and really small for .308 mags, even though you can get either one in. The pistol pouch side is small enough for 1911 mags but awfully tight for 9mm Glock mags. This would be a 5-star product if they refined the attachment method. Make the webbing tunnels 2mm wider and it would be GTG.

Excellent product, well made and they look good too! The plastic inserts in the pouch make magazine removal easy for mag changes. The bungee allows you to adjust the retention to your own needs. It takes some effort to get them properly attached to your gear, but once they are on they aren't falling off.

Awesome pouches!
Love the Taco mag pouch. Great adjustable range of retention. Great quality. Just kind of a pain with the malice clips, seemed like it was maybe 3/4 - 1/2 inch too short for the malice clip to fit right. Still worth every penny.

HSGI Double Decker Taco Mag pouch
Excellent pouch; Good retention for both mags. Only issue is if using an extended mag for the pistol, it is hard to remove the rifle mag using a "beer can" grab as the pistol mag gets in the way. Otherwise, no issues.

Great pouch
The only reason I gave a 4 out 5 is because it took 45 minutes to mount. I run Pmags for my AR and US Palm for my AK and this does the trick for both. I also used longer malice clips and had better luck then the shorter supplied clips on my PIG carrier. Great gear will order more.

The hard work of installation is well worth while. Exceptionally well made, awesome design & bad ass look. Works very well with PMAGS and Glock clips. Only downside is the small fortune you dish out for them.

I had several of these already, but needed more for an other gear project. I like being able to use the same rig for my AR/AK/M14 if need be.
