HSGI Double Decker "TACO" Magazine Pouch
Double Decker "TACO" , Modular single rifle and pistol magazine pouch. Just like its older brother this unique pouch will hold more types of mags than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold Magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1, G3, Saiga 12, and more..... even some types of radios. It will also hold the large Flash bangs and the M-18 Smoke grenades. This mag pouch measures 3" in width. Made of Cordura, Kydex and shock-cord, it is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.
The "TACO" maintains a positive grip of the mag on which is adjustable and does not need use of any other securing systems unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop Velcro is sewn in the inside of the Rifle pouch if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook Velcro on his magazine body for added security. But not only will this pouch hold ANY Rifle magazine, it will hold ANY Pistol Magazine. Single Stack or Double Stack.
Made in the USA and is covered by the HSGI Lifetime warranty.

Double Decker Taco
Outstanding piece of gear for flexibility to carry AK mags. Not as fast reinserting as the Esstac KWYI dedicated 556 pouch but more flexible. Using this for multitool/OC and blowout kit. Taco Rifle easily expands to carry Celotex+IBD. Smaller footprint than IFAK kits and more appropriate for my use on range,in classes and HD. SKD's CS and shipping equally praiseworthy. Great job HSGI and SKD.

Excelent product
This is a great pouch, will fit almost anything from 5.56 to 7.62 even smoke grenades. The only down side is that it takes too much time to pass the molle through

Badass
Theres nothing bad about this product, you can modify the pistol pouch and the rifle pouch to work with just about any magazine dimension, respectively. I used both 1911 magazines as well as stacked 20rnd sig mags, and both had good retention and held up perfectly. Mounts to MOLLE systems well, though using the clips that it comes with, seemed to have a very tight fit. Not a bad thing, just required extra force to get it in properly. Overall, awesome product.

DD Taco for AK....maybe not so good
I ordered 5 of the DD Tacosfor my AK mags. The quality of these pouches is excellent. They are very rigid, and the molle straps hold them tight and flat. I tried several magazines types, M4, great fit, M14, not bad, but not enough of the magazine protruded out for easy gripping. M9, and my .45 HK USP Tac mags fit well. AK, the magazine sticks way up out of the pouch, BUT, because of this, the magazines sag forward, they don't fit flat against the vest. To compensate for this, I tied elastic shock cord across the three magazines to hold em flat against the vest. Also, I put three singles in line, and there isn't enough spacing between them, so the magazines bunch up and look pretty unprofessional. I'm going to try the US Palm AK 30 mag pouches next. M4, no problem, M14/SR 25 not bad, Flashbang, kinda bulky, smoke, yes, it'll fit with some jamming, but again, pretty bulky. AK Mags, sorry, no go for me.

Best
I've tried a handful of "universal" magazine pouches from retailers ranging from Condor to Eagle. I needed a pouch that could hold AR or AK magazines, as well as Saiga-12 box mags. Most pouches could cope with AK mags alright, but were either too tight on AK mags or too loose on AR mags. NOBODY could handle the girth of a Saiga-12 box. This pouch holds all of them, without even adjusting the shock cord. I added some velcro to my mags in the form of an ACH repair disc, just to give it a little extra grab for peace of mind. For more general use, I have found a nice combo is an M18 smoke in the rifle side (might need to loosen the shock cord a little, I didn't - see above statement - but it's really tight), and a Surefire light in the pistol side. Works great, and now the mag pouch is a utility pouch with good looks.
