HSGI "TACO" Modular Single Rifle Magazine Pouch

This unique pouch, compared to similar mag pouches in it's class, will hold more types of magazines than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1 20 rnds, G3 and more... even some types of radios. It will also hold large flash bangs and M-18 smoke grenades.

This mag pouch measures 3" in width compared to the top selling mag pouch which is wider and disrupts much needed space on the user's modular platform. Made of Cordura, polymer brackets, and shock-cord, it is silent when struck against and while extracting the mag. The "TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mag which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired by user preference.

Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

Testers have reported no issues other than it is a little hard to mount to a platform, but this was very little concern to them compared to the overwhelming positives this unique mag pouch provides. Made in the USA and covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty .

    Best Pouches for Multiple Calibers

Posted by Mtbkski on 19th Aug 2013

These pouches rock. The fact that you can put them on your belt, vest or carrier. And not have to worry if the rifle you chose will fit in magazine pouches that are on your gear. Being able to carry any magazine I want is a great help. Very stable once mounted. But they are a pain to mount. Very secure. Best mag pouch I have used to date.

Step 1: Get Tacos Step2: Repeat Step 1.

I get that some people need X chest rig with cool guy Y panels, and if they get the super special Z version then they have the option of unhooking their panels and swapping a different caliber set in, and that's fine. For the rest of us... Tacos handle everything from 308 AI mags, 20 round USGI 556, 308 PMAG, AK mag, 40 round PMAG, some radios, basically anything you could stuff in there. So why bother with a mag carrier that can ONLY carry one specific mag? I HIGHLY recommend the Raven Concealment Moduloader system to attach these to a belt. A 5 "finger" RCS with a double decker taco and a pistol/rifle gives you three AR mags and a pistol, light, tool carrier etc all in one nice package that can slip on / slip off (rcs paddle attachment to belt). Or, go ahead and get a bunch of different rigs for different guns. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get these, but now I can NOT go back!

The only mag shingle I'll use

Simply the easiest to use, fastest, coolest way to carry 2-3 rifle mags on your plate carrier. I'm a convert.

    Better than expectes

The pouches did take a good while to attach to my plate carrier. Once I got the first one, the others were much faster. The pouches are excellent when it comes to mag retention and they can take a beating.

    hsgi rifle tacos

Posted by Michael Hutchinson on 15th Jul 2013

Skd was supper easy to deal with as always. The mag pouches went onto my belt with the normal amount of sweating and cussing that comes along with the use of malice clips. But once on are solid and i can go from ar mags to ak mags to fal mags with out changing belts or gear. All three types of mags are very secure in the mag pouches. I just need to pick up a few pistol tacos now.

Definitely worth the buy holds mags with no issues did a couple rollover drills in a truck and no worries on any of the mags falling out even without bungee cord over the mag. Reinsertion of mag is also simple once you get the trick and drawing of mag is super fast

What's left to be said. Best of both worlds fast access and secure hold on your mags. HSGI quality. They come with the malice clips.
