HSGI "TACO" Modular Single Rifle Magazine Pouch

This unique pouch, compared to similar mag pouches in it's class, will hold more types of magazines than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1 20 rnds, G3 and more... even some types of radios. It will also hold large flash bangs and M-18 smoke grenades.

This mag pouch measures 3" in width compared to the top selling mag pouch which is wider and disrupts much needed space on the user's modular platform. Made of Cordura, polymer brackets, and shock-cord, it is silent when struck against and while extracting the mag. The "TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mag which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired by user preference.

Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

Testers have reported no issues other than it is a little hard to mount to a platform, but this was very little concern to them compared to the overwhelming positives this unique mag pouch provides. Made in the USA and covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty .

My new taco pouches are awesome!

These things just rock. I knew they were gona be great from trying them on a friend's rig, but after using them for a bit, i'm way happier with this system than the FastMag holders i had before. They don't take up as much real estate on the vest and they fit everything in there! I tried my AR mags (pmags and standard) and my ak 74 mags. Both fit snuggly in the tacos and arent going anywhere, even if im running. A bit tough to inter-weave the included malic clips, but heck, once they are on the molle, they are secure. Yeah. They are a bit more on the pricey side, but durability-wise, they will last much longer than the blue force gear pouches. Definitely worth it!

    Tacti-cool meets practical functionality

These are great. Hold mags tight but with a quick tug come right out. You can quickly and easily adjust tension, and they will fit any mags (5.56, or 7.62, AK even saiga 12ga mags). I use them for 5.56 and they will accept Colt, bushmaster, BCM, and PMags with no problem. I have heard they will hold the surefire 60rd mags too, I will confirm as soon as I can get my hands on a couple.

    Great

It retains the mags very well I have it attached to my HSGI belt and they retain mags through all maneuvers. Run and Gun, urban prone, simulated supine, etc. Can be challenging to attach (properly) to the belt but worth every effort.

    Adapt and Overcome

These mag pouchesare simply incredible, if your thinking about open top retention mag pouches then think no more. Sure you could buy other brands but none are as versitile, the price may be staggering but considering the fact they will harness any mag i can stuff in them you actualy save money and time when fitting gear to seperate load-outs. Even if you are leary of open top mag pouches the TACO pouches are so simple to fit with bungie cord retention loops for added peace of mind when in rough handling such as rappelling or para-jumping if the need arises.

These single mag pouches are well worth the money just what I was looking for to run AK magazines and AR magazines they will even hold Saiga 12 mags. Also I recieved the new multicam version with multicam webbing wich is really nice.

Excellent product - worth the price and hassle

Yes, putting them on is a PAIN in the ass. You need to really work the malice clips to get them flexible first. Then follow the youtube video. Take your time, work the pliers, watch out for the shock cords, and be patient. If you're not sure where you want to mount them, do NOT weave the malice through the middle molle on the taco. Just run the malice straight down through the molle on your belt/carrier. They will stay on ok like that and you can test it to make sure you want them there, then re-thread them properly later. Also, HSGI's smoke green color is a very, very close match to the Mayflower APC Ranger green, which was nice.
