HSGI "TACO" Modular Single Rifle Magazine Pouch

This unique pouch, compared to similar mag pouches in it's class, will hold more types of magazines than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1 20 rnds, G3 and more... even some types of radios. It will also hold large flash bangs and M-18 smoke grenades.

This mag pouch measures 3" in width compared to the top selling mag pouch which is wider and disrupts much needed space on the user's modular platform. Made of Cordura, polymer brackets, and shock-cord, it is silent when struck against and while extracting the mag. The "TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mag which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired by user preference.

Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

Testers have reported no issues other than it is a little hard to mount to a platform, but this was very little concern to them compared to the overwhelming positives this unique mag pouch provides. Made in the USA and covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty .

    Versatile pouch!

Posted by Unknown on 10th Jan 2013

This pouch is what I needed for VEPR-12 (AK platform 12 gauge shotgun) magazines. Holds the magazines tight. It also holds regular AK mags on the same rig with no problem. Do you tape two 5.56 magazines jungle style? They'll fit right in. As stated, these were, forgive my French, a floop de la floop to put on. The strap through which you need to weave the malice clip is only 1 molle column wide; it is 2 columns with the middle sewn shut to separate into 2 individual columns. Many other pouches will leave the middle unsewn, leaving a little maneuver room to weave the clip. Once on, though, it is rock solid. I ordered 9 pouches to replace war belt and chest rig, and this setup will accommodate AK, AR, M1A/ M14 and other .308, Saiga-12/ VEPR-12, Akdal 1919, and possibly more without the need to switch anything out. Great magazines for almost any application where you'd need open top magazines with good retention.

I needed something that can take AK mags as well. Now I can run both systems off the same belt. Liking it so far, fits my Chinese AK mags very well.

    HSGI "TACO"

Posted by Joshua V on 3rd Jan 2013

This is the first TACO for me, a few buddies had them and I liked what I saw. Got it and put it on my PIG. A little hard to get on, but I have no doubt that it is staying on there. The mags stay in place, but are easy to get to when I need them. I love these pouches and will soon be ordering more.

HSGI TACO Modular Single Rifle Mag Pouch

Holds mags solidly in place, with very smooth removal and insertion. However installing this mag pouch on molle is difficult and requires ALOT of patience.

    Pouches

They are by far the best mag holders. The will fit AR mags and Fal mags use it for both and never had any issues with being hard to pull the mags out. And they don't fall out no matter how much you run and jump

Tried with M1A, Ak47 and AR15 mags. Works perfectly. Not cheap, but worth it if you have multiple platforms.

Great product. Quiet, tight, and useable for different magazines, now if they would just make a woman like this.

HSGI Sure-grip belt and Taco pouches

Love the Belt! Very comfortable and the neoprene lining keeps it firmly in place. The Taco Pouches are the most versatile pouches I've ever had. I can use them for my single stack M1911 mags, Glock 9mm, or M&P 45 mags with out adjustment. Can also use them as knife or flashlight holsters. Great gear and well made in the USA!
