HSGI "TACO" Modular Single Rifle Magazine Pouch

This unique pouch, compared to similar mag pouches in it's class, will hold more types of magazines than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type mags including P-MAGS, it will also hold magazines for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1 20 rnds, G3 and more... even some types of radios. It will also hold large flash bangs and M-18 smoke grenades.

This mag pouch measures 3" in width compared to the top selling mag pouch which is wider and disrupts much needed space on the user's modular platform. Made of Cordura, polymer brackets, and shock-cord, it is silent when struck against and while extracting the mag. The "TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mag which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired by user preference.

Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

Testers have reported no issues other than it is a little hard to mount to a platform, but this was very little concern to them compared to the overwhelming positives this unique mag pouch provides. Made in the USA and covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty .

Dimensions: 3"H x 1.2"W x 5"L

There's got to be a better way.

Im a HSGI fan but I think they need to rethink this one. Its a good concept but if you cant mount the thing its not much good. Figure on 20 to 30 minutes to figure out the tricks to mounting with the included MALICE clips if your patient enough. Also a PALS loop sewn to the back of one of the three pouches that I purchased was not in spec. It was too narrow for the MALICE clip to pass.

    A real universal magazine pouch!

Great product! It really does not matter whether you are carrying the magazine up or down, bullets forward or rearward or on you left or right side. It also worked with all the magazine I hand on hand. One magazine pouch for AR15, FAL, SIG, AK. What else could you ask for?

Sounds too good to be true?

But they work as advertised. I have been using my 4 taco pouches with AK47, M14 & M4 mags, sometimes all 3 types in the same day, and they fit and stay fixed. You need to adjust the tension to your liking by slacking or tightning the shockcord that wraps the pouch; I slacked it a little on my tacos and now they work well with AK and M4. M14 will also fit, but for perfect M14 fit I should slacken it a little more. Mags with a big rear tab for locking like M14, AK47 and G3 needs a little practice and adjustment to assure that the tab don't get stuck in the "gap" between the kydex sides and the cordura front/rear when holstering a mag, but this was only an issue for me untill I adjusted the slack to fit the magtype. The molle on the rear is TIGHT and expect to use extra time and a flathead screwdriver when you mount it to gear for the first time. The pouch adjust a bit after that, so from then on it is easier to take off and remount.
