HSGI X2R TACO Double Rifle Magazine Pouch
The Next Evolution in HSGI's extremely popular TACO series of Pouches. Like the original TACO will handle any type of Rifle Magazines thrown at it. Able to carry 2 Magazines in a single Pouch eliminates the need for double stacking TACO's. The pouch is one piece of 4 layer laminated Cordura with 2 Plastic Brackets which are separated by a HDPE sheet. The HDPE sheet has a 1" webbing sewn on it which adds a bungee loop at the top for over the top bungee retention. Made of Cordura, Polymer, and shock-cord. It is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.
The "X2R TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mags, which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top of the Cordura and HDPE separator for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.
Covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty. Made in the USA. HSG Clips Included.

What are YOU using them for?
Okay so everyone was all THESE ARE THE BEST EVA, No. First off, mounting was too hard, all you got to have is a small flat head screwdriver or something similar, without this then yes, impossible to mount. If the elastic was covered I would have gave this 4 stars. Prob not good for iraq, bad for afgan. Pros: Holds mag securely and resistance can be adjusted. Mounted very securely due to extreme tightness, slim profile with pals webbing on front. Cons: elastic strings can got caught on brush over stretched them and stand out. My pouch is essentially deadlined cause the elastic can't retain the mags anymore. Also reinserting mag is a pain cause for some reason no one thought to have a slide or ramp so the mags can be inserted, instead theres a lip on both sides where the mag can get caught on and wont go in. I tapped it and it fixed it until the elastic got caught on the bushes and what not.

Right color pouch, wrong color MALICE clips
Pouch itself looks great. Orderd black. Black pouch came with FDE MALICE clips. Minor point, I know, but my 3-gun shooting rig is all black: Blade-Tech pistol holster, Blade-Tech pistol mags, Bianchi belt, EGL Loppy dump pouch... all black. WTF am I getting FDE MALICE clips for? SKD says the manufacturer is responsible. Now I get to buy black MALICE clips. Again.

excellent product
I'm running 4 of these on my PIG Plate Carrier, and so far have been quite happy. They work as advertised with M4, AK, and SCAR17 mags, and retain a single mag just as well as double mags in each pouch. They are very low profile, and mount securely to molle webbing. They would have gotten 5 stars had they been easier to install. Watching the HSGI installation videos on YouTube is mandatory, as are a good multitool or set of needle nose pliers, a nice long flathead screwdriver, and the patience of a saint. I thought it would be easy while installing the malice clips to the pouches...the fun part was mounting them to the plate carrier. The flip side of the epic struggle to install is that they're not going anywhere accidentally once they're mounted, so I heartily recommend them. Just have some uninterrupted time and some decent TV on hand when you decide to install them.
