HSGI X2R TACO Double Rifle Magazine Pouch

The Next Evolution in HSGI's extremely popular TACO series of Pouches. Like the original TACO will handle any type of Rifle Magazines thrown at it. Able to carry 2 Magazines in a single Pouch eliminates the need for double stacking TACO's. The pouch is one piece of 4 layer laminated Cordura with 2 Plastic Brackets which are separated by a HDPE sheet. The HDPE sheet has a 1" webbing sewn on it which adds a bungee loop at the top for over the top bungee retention. Made of Cordura, Polymer, and shock-cord. It is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag.

The "X2R TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mags, which is adjustable and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired upon by user preference. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top of the Cordura and HDPE separator for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security.

Covered by HSGI's Lifetime Warranty. Made in the USA. HSG Clips Included.

    Fantastic

These mag pouches are great. Completely universal, open top, sturdy. I was reluctant to buy at first because I didn't like that the MOLLE webbing wasn't multicam in the pictures and I'd read that they were unbelievably ridiculous to try to install but neither were an issue that outweighed the benefits of such a universal mag holder. The former in fact was a non issue as the webbing IS multicam and a flathead screwdriver and needle nose pliers make the install much faster and easier. There's also a really helpful install video on youtube if you simply search "HSGI TACO install". One of the only complaints I have is that I was sent black malice clips with both my pistol and rifle pouches which I honestly think is pretty stupid as anyone needing multicam would more than likely prefer them in tan for obvious reasons. And if you plan to mount a few of these to a harness or plate/armor carrier you should consider the single mag pouches as these stuck out too far and interfered with my rifle.

Perfect multi use or single mag use carrier. Throw on elastic cord to add security to mag if dedired. You will never look back after you purchase. Magpul AR15, AK-47, Saiga 12 (10 rd, 8 rd, 5 rd mags) fit perfect. I have not tried a 12 rd Saiga 12 mag - probably smack you in the chin . Don't waste your money on buying multiple mag pouches when this is all you need.

    Awesome!

Bought it for my Fiancé's duty rig, being height and width space were limited on her armor carrier the shorter height worked out perfectly, and its short enough 20rd Lancer mags with Magpuls attached are easy to use in this setup!

    Good

Works pretty good no worries of mags falling out as long as 2 mags are in once you take a mag out the pouch loses tension and the second mag may be a little loose but not enough to bounce out of the pouch as long as its right side up reinsertion of the mag can be a little tricky if you don't practice but not a pain in the ass, installation does take patience but once you have it where you want it works like a charm

    Solid Pouch

Takes a little patience to mount the Taco to your web belt, but once it's on there's nothing more solid. SKD was a pleasure to deal with...as always! Hands down the best place to buy all your tactical necessities!

    Great mag pouch

After first I didn't understand the hype about these pouches, but now I do. The quality is superb in all the material used. They are tough to put on but very tight and won't wiggle.

    The Double Decker

I finally got a chance to take this to the range and run it. They were easy enough to set up. They performed well and as advertised. Makes setting up your kit/gear a lot easier if you have to change out weapon systems that you are running. They hold the mags securely and still allow for easy access. Well thought out and well made piece of gear.

HSGI X2R TACO Double Rifle Magazine Pouch

Simply outstanding mag pouch and is worth the price, it holds the 2-30 223/ 5.56 round mags great and I can quickly pull them out and put them back without the pouch collapsing so you can put them in and out with one hand, I have two on my plate carrier one in smoke green and one in multi-cam, great work HSGI...

    Simply excelent

Posted by John DeArmond on 5th Mar 2013

The 2 X2Rs I ordered work amazingly well. I mounted them on my condor MOPC, and could not be happier. I was initially concerned that they would be too bulky (running ak 47 30rd mags), but was pleasantly surprised by how slim they are when mounted. The are slightly smaller than a dark angel medical kit, in terms off sticking out from your carrier. Adjusting the tension was simple and easy, and the second mag remains held tightly even after the first is removed. I would not hesitate to purchase more of these if the need arose.
