Magpul QDM Quick Disconnect Sling Swivel
The Magpul - QDM Quick Disconnect Sling Swivel is our take on the common push-button QD swivel and offers a number of advantages. Made from precision cast, Melonite treated steel, including the bale, the QDM is stronger than its contemporaries while providing vastly improved corrosion and wear resistance. The dual side release tabs are easier to use than the traditional button on the top yet are still secure against inadvertent activation. They also give the QDM body a shorter length for better clearances when used with end-plate mounts.
Fits all standard QD cups and accepts 1-1/4" webbing.

Pricey, but high quality
I'll be honest I bought this cause I am going full Magpul on an 870 and regular QD swivels looked too plain. Plus it seemed like a good idea to try something different. That being said for aesthetics it looks awesome. Functionally they seem to be holding up well but I haven't had nearly enough time to test them out. Regardless I don't see how they won't hold up, they use a spring and ball detents like a regular QD only it has two little sliders on either side instead of a button. They are definitely easier to actuate than your typical push button QD swivel but both have to be pushed quite purposefully so I don't see this accidentally disconnecting.

okay , but a pain in the ass
works fine , but the squeeze to release sucks when there is tiny dirt /other particles jammed in there.

As Described
The QDM came as described and works great with my sling when in long or short configurations.

Functional but expensive
costs about 1.7 times as much as your run-of-the-mill swivel, but it's nicely built and functional. Something to consider is the orientation of the sling this'll be used on. Unlike typical swivels, if the sling is perpendicular to the mounting surface you'll have some difficulty releasing it. Good or bad depending on the context.

Stream lime and small
I'm with 3D RECON FORCE COMAPNY 2nd PLT with the 31st MEU Maritime Raid Force (MRF) in Okinawa Japan. I'm currently in a shoot package that tests the Marines as well as the gear they use. This is the reason for my purchase. Magpul QDM Quick Disconnect Sling Swivel hasn't rusted like the other quick disconnects I've had in the past or hasn't broke/have had the balls fall out of place. The men in my team have all purchased two now. Also out of all the gear I have bought online SKD has been the fastest and most professional when taking care of their coustomer, all the way down to putting candy in our orders during October. It's the little things that separate companies from others. Just like this product does with its small and durable size in sand, dirt, mud, high humidity, and rain. Magpul never fails. Better to spend a few more bucks for a product that will last.
