PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    So far so good

Snug fit, excellent dexterity for trigger manipulation. Time will tell if they have a long service life. Most shooting gloves that have good dexterity are usually pretty light duty and end up with holes and tears after just a few matches...I'm really hoping the PIG is the exception. If they last then the rating would move to excellent...

    Alpha Touch

Thin, sized small but proportioned perfectly for my hands. I often find the thumb is to short in many gloves but these fit like a custom glove. Well made. Great dexterity.

    Great gloves, tight fit

Posted by Anon on 1st Jan 2015

These gloves fit like a glove. So if you are on the border of s/m or m/l I would recommend going with the larger size. Aside from that, like I said early, super tight fit for maximum dexterity, easy to manipulate things. Haven't worn them for all that long, so we'll see if they stand up to stress from use and if they wear out like Mechanix. (if they don't, I'll come back and increase the star rating)

    Nice Glove, As advertised

Posted by Ryan on 1st Jan 2015

The best part about this glove is that all fingers work on my iPhone, not just the ones with the stitching. That said; they're snug but wear in well. I wouldn't work on your car with these, but the durability is reasonable for every day activity. I can see heavy use wearing down at least the touch screen threat, if not the rest. They're definitely mild weather gloves, don't expect to keep your hands warm with them. SKD shipped it quick, as promised. Some fun stickers with the product. Overall a great shopping experience for a nice solid product.

    awesome dexterity

Gloves fit ,well, like a glove! Great dexterity, feels like a second skin. No excess material to get in the way. Time will tell on how long they hold up but I guess its a trade off between durability and dexterity. I have mixed feelings about the holes/vents in the gloves. They at times let material into the gloves ... but again its a trade off

PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha

Posted by James Kuhn on 1st Jan 2015

Everything was excellent regarding the subject 'FDT' gloves. My only issue, as I explained in my email (see excerpt below), was the USPS not delivering 12/26/14 as stated on the USPS tracking site. Based upon SKD's email, the gloves were 'shipped' on 12/22/14 and I did not receive them until 12/27/14. That's FIVE (5) days shipping time for 'USPS Priority 2-Day Mail'. Now, I realize there is this thing called Christmas that interferred with the delivery. Believe me, I DO understand. However, "...a full day's transit on 12/23/14 and, let's say a half-day of transit time 12/24/14 (giving the USPS the benefit of the doubt). According to the 'Link' you provided to me, the estimated delivery date (EDD) was 12/26/14 (today). But, NOJOY. So, giving them (USPS) 'the benefit of the doubt', it's still 3-days to my door and that's IF the package is delivered on 12/27/14...". The above in quotations is from my email. And yes, the package was successfully delivered Saturday, 12/27/14.
