PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Another satisfied customer

I am simply amazed at the quality, features and price! on these wonderful gloves. I gave them a stress-test, wearing them for a full day and now typing this review in them. Car driving? Check. Gun cleaning? Check. Using delicate tools? Check. Shooting? Check. Using touchphone? Check! Of course they are not for heavy-duty dirt jobs, simply not meant for that. Well, unless you order a dozen. Which i'm thinking about now...

    Great gloves!

the PIG FDT Gloves are a superb product. Nice protection, yet absolutely superior tactile sensory remains at the fingertips. When ordering, keep in mind they are sized a little small. Had to reorder a larger size. SKD had the replacement gloves on my doorstep in 2 days! Great product, great company.

    Amazing gloves!

Posted by Someone who needs gloves on 20th Mar 2014

Due to severe frostbite many years ago my hands hurt once it gets cold, which means that i need to wear gloves whenever I'm outside in the cold (roughly 5 months a year here). I had been wearing 5.11 Tac A2 gloves, which were pretty good but didn't have the sensitivity that I wanted. For example, I would occasionally drop a magazine when performing an emergency or tactical reload. Now with the PIG Tactical gloves I no longer have that problem. They do fit tighter than the 5.11s and are thinner, but I've found the functionality to be much better and they have been wearing extremely well. They are even pretty warm. The only downside is that it is difficult to pick-up paper or thin cardboard (the 5.11s seem a little stickier), but that is minor given the benefits. These are the best tactical EDC gloves that I've used so far, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

    Good Shooting Gloves

Comfy, high dexterity, and true fit. Not the sturdiest gloves out there but these are shooting gloves first and foremost and SKD-TAC makes that known in the product description.

Impression of PIG/FDT Alpha Touch Gloves

Posted by W. J. Tutwiler, Jr. on 20th Mar 2014

These gloves are, without a doubt, the best gloves that I've ever owned! I will be getting at least one other color pair. Wearing these gloves feels like you aren't wearing anything, as to your sense of touch, but they're very protective as to temperature and abrasion. The sizing chart is very accurate. It's very refreshing to find a product that you really feel is worth its price. Everything I've gotten from SKD, thus far, meets that criteria!

    Fits like a glove

2.5 lb trigger and you still feel it. Great fit and quality. You can pick a lock or go full tilt in combat. Ex Ops

    Excellent shooting gloves.

I got a chance to take these in the field for some shooting, and I have to say I love them. They fit exceedingly well, are comfortable without being tight, and make for good winter/spring/fall shooting gloves when you need a bit of insulation.

    Light touch

Posted by KL on 20th Mar 2014

Haven't had these but a few months, but already like them and had to mark them. These really do allow you to manipulate the weapon system and about anything else you would do with the bare hand without loosing that sense of feel/touch. Will have to wait and see about how durable they are.

Appears to be very good kit

Just as advertised: Close fitting, comfortable. The varying materials and fabric thickness seems really to work to give more protection here, more dexterity there. Ran carbine drills with these and found that I soon forgot I had them on. Also as advertised, I can tell these aren't going to "last a lifetime." But then they're not supposed to.
