PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

Always hesitant about products with sizing that I am unsure but used the sizing guide that accompanied the product. Ended up with the best fitting pair of gloves I have ever owned. Took them shooting this past weekend and no sense of loss of tactile sense. Think I just convinced myself to buy a second pair. :)

    Exceeds Expectations

I'm rough on gear. I don't baby stuff hoping to make it last longer if it means sacrificing function or use. After a week of heavy use from daily wear to weapons training and manipulation, I can find nothing to critize about these gloves. They're comfortable, fit perfectly, and I forget they're even on at times. After experiencing the difficulty of trying to use a touch screen when hands are sweaty or bloody, I decided to try the upgraded version. Wow. Even with soaking wet gloves from doing weapons drills in knee deep snow, I was still able to operate my smart phone. Outstanding! I can't wait to see how long these gloves last but I'm sure they'll price to be as durable as they've proven to be indispensable.

    Great gloves

This is my second pair of PIG gloves and they are the best gloves I have found. I've tried gloves from a lot if different manufacturers, with the SKD PIG glove being best by a large margin. Great fit, feel and durability. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

    Better fit than I thought

Posted by DM on 20th Mar 2014

I have long fingers and thin palms. Most gloves come up short (literally) in at least one of those two areas. I ordered he 2x gloves with the hope that they'll come the closest to fitting. They did. Just about perfect from my middle finger to wrist. A little baggy around the widest part of my palm and tip of my pinky finger. Otherwise, perfectly snug where it matters. In particular, no bagginess around the trigger finger. And with the thinness of the material on the palm side to the tip of the fingers, it's easy to tell how much pressure you're applying to the trigger. These gloves offer no real protection from barrel heat, but SKD doesn't advertise that they do, so no biggie there. I love theses gloves!

    Perfect gloves for shooting/warrior activities!

I tried these on a whim...another recommendation from a coworker that I was sure would not meet my expectations. I have tried Wiley X, Oakley, Hatch, 5.11, Mechanix just to name a few and they all fell short in one way or another. These are dead center of dexterity and general purpose gloves. Don't get me wrong, they aren't perfect, but they aren't designed to last forever. Stitches are tight in all the right places, great flexibility, perfect fit, and very well, thought out. From gunfight to garrison, these things are worth a try. You won't regret the purchase!
