PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available Clarino™ material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Forschette Material - Inside forschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are Clarino™ for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Great gloves

Posted by Richard on 8th Dec 2013

I like these gloves! I'm not sold on the Touch part as $6 for six pieces of thread on each glove (3 on the index finger and 3 more on the thumb) is a little steep, especially since I've washed the gloves once and the Touch thread appears to be fraying. Another thought is the fitment guide says I should use Medium gloves yet the Large fit so much better. I can (kind of) touch type with these and they (kind of) work on my iPhone but there is a learning curve so don't think you'll immediately jump into typing your next dissertation or texting at 400 cps.

    Great gloves

Just used them today with 4 of my favorite pistols (before the snow comes mid week). These gloves are great. With Cyber Monday coming up, I may buy another pair.

    bad ass gloves

Posted by Stephan Padilla on 8th Dec 2013

Id like to start off saying these gloves are amazing, they are super dexterous I can feel everything, I can find zippers and small items in my assault pack without having to take them off. However im going to throw in a couple cons I noticed about these gloves, 1 the touch threads "unicorn pubes"as stated on the packaging become frayed with use and require singing with a lighter. 2 these glove are terrible for breaking bush I am an 11b and we were breaking brush and I got a few tears in the finger area bit whatever I still love the shit out of these gloves. Would buy again.

I have yet to put them through their paces, but they fit eexcellent (tight, and the finger tips are the correct proportion ) so far, I can and have recommended them to my buddies in the shooting community.

    PIG FDT gloves

Posted by Alec on 8th Dec 2013

These gloves are sick. They fit my hands... like a glove. Used them at the outdoor range this Nov. and my hands stayed warm without feeling like I really had gloves on. If you're a civvy/concealed carrier like me and you don't want to be too tactical, these gloves are just fine. They don't stand out as much as you might think. The coyote gloves look really bright yellow in some photos, but they're actually a nice darker khaki. 10/10

    Tactically Sound

    Posted by Dune360 on 8th Dec 2013

"Full Dexterity" is definitely an accurate description. The gloves are extremely snug, similar to the feel of a new Under Armour compression shirt, but still offers full mobility with your hand/fingers. Whether it's firing, loading, or assembling/disassembling your weapon, these gloves will deliver performance! Although these gloves provide tactical functionality, they did not offer any real protection in cold temperatures.

    Good Kit

Posted by Rick on 8th Dec 2013

Picked up a pair of PIG FDT Alpha Touch gloves to replace the worn out Mechanix pair in my range bag. I usually go through a pair every 18 months or so as they get ragged. So far, I'm pretty impressed with the FDT gloves. Great dexterity and plenty warm enough for the weather around here. The touch system works fine with my iPhone. Any glove is going to be something of a compromise between longevity and dexterity. We'll see how these wear over the long haul. On sizing: My hand measurements came out on the cusp between XL and XXL. I decided to go with the XL. They were a little tight at first, but broke in very quickly. I'm happy with my choice of size and with these gloves overall. This was my first order with SKD and it was a no drama experience. Buy with confidence.

    SKD Products

Posted by Eric Rossler on 8th Dec 2013

Once again, SKD has delievered my products on time and as promised. I cannot stress how well SKD has provided me with what I need, when I need it. Also, anytime I've sent them an e-mail asking questions about a product or an order, they have responded ASAP. These folks are "squared away" and know their stuff.
