PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Alpha PIG for your pigs!

Posted by Jonathan Larsen on 10th Nov 2013

Very well designed glove. Fit and dexterity in these gloves is excellent. Touch function works as advertised but my guess is long term use will remove the threads that allow the touch screen use. I wish they made a cold weather version!

    PIG Alpha Touch

Posted by POTY on 10th Nov 2013

I have tried 5.11 and other brand tactical gloves. Always too big in the fingers, or too thick to allow real dexterity. These exceeded my expectations when I received them. Used them yesterday at training. I can re-load Glock and AR mags with them on, even answer my iPhone. They offer enough protection. We'll see how durable they will be. For sizing you need to believe the chart. They look small, but stretch comfortably to fit.

Great dexterity, smart design... and measure

Posted by Thom -------- on 10th Nov 2013

These fit me... well, like a glove... but it was a good thing that I measured, so don't skip that step. Dexterity is smooth, the gloves are comfortable and there are a few smart features that you'll discover the more you use them. I am not a "tactical glove geek," and now that I have the PDTs, I don't need to become one just to buy a pair of gloves. They're good to go.

    Snug as a glove

Posted by Brandon Schantz on 10th Nov 2013

Fit perfect other than the pinkie which seems to ride up a bit when in use. The alpha touch works great with my phone and the gloves give me perfect dexterity when actuating parts of my firearms.

    good gloves

Posted by Unknown on 10th Nov 2013

I own both the alpha and alpha touch gloves. Excellent dexterity. A little tight until broken in. The touch screen feature works, but you have to adjust things so the metallic thread is aligned on your finger pad . Only minor problem is velcro hook right next to the soft wipe, and tends to scrape your face. Otherwise so good that you forget you have them on. Surprisingly warm when worn in the cold, too.

    PIG Alpha Touch

Posted by Joe on 10th Nov 2013

I wear XXL gloves and these gloves just fit the middle finger tight with zero extra room, but the index finger is about 1/8" to 1/4" to long & so I've got extra material at the end. This material at the end bunches up and makes the touch feature very hard to almost impossible to use. It's such a narrow area on the glove to begin with & with the empty finger tip it's a struggle. Otherwise the gloves are very nice, better than the majority I've tried over the years.

    silver thread does help

Still not like having no gloves, but these gloves definitely help with the use of a touch screen. The threads are otherwise unnoticeable.

    A Great Glove

Posted by David Spanburg on 10th Nov 2013

The PIG FDT Alpha Touch glove is a really nice glove. The silver threads in the 1st finger and thumb work well. My only issue is for me, the threads on the fingr are a little lower that I would have liked. The threads work well and when my co-worker tried them, he had no issue, I'm just more of a fnger tip kind of guy. Once I learned where the threads were, I had no issue using my phone with the gloves on. I do recommend them.

    Ran Small

The quality and feel of the gloves were very nice but I had to send them back because they were too small. I'll order larger sized gloves when they are back in stock.
