PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Great Gloves

Posted by Adrian on 3rd Nov 2013

They aren't going to stop frostbite in a blizzard, but for cool to mildly cold weather they are fine. And of course help give you great control over what you are manipulating. Great driving gloves, shooting gloves or for everyday work around the property. Also I think it's important to note that they work with touch screens, what with all of the tech people seem to have these days. Highly recommended. My only gripe is that they are not USA made. I get that there aren't any good manufacturing plants in the states that can replicate this quality, but it is still unfortunate.

If you haven't heard of these great gloves, you are wrong and you owe it to yourself to buy at least one pair now! If you don't want a pair, you could always send another pair my way. These gloves offer all of the comforts of Mechanics gloves with improved dexterity.

Wonderful Gloves - Watch Your Sizing Though

Posted by Matt on 28th Oct 2013

These gloves are everything I have been looking for. They have a second-skin type feel to them that keeps them from interfering with the natural use of your hands for little things like zippers and loading magazines as well as providing great trigger feel through the glove. My only complaint is the sizing guide. I ALWAYS wear a Large glove. However in using the sizing guide I had the following measurements 7.5 (Height) x 7.75 (Diameter) which based on the measurements provided in the sizing guide put me between a Small and a Medium, so I went with the Medium just to be safe. That was a mistake. While putting on the Medium glove I was having flash backs to the courtroom pictures of OJ trying on those black gloves of his... I gave them away as a gift to another shooter and ordered the Large. The Large was a perfect fit. Just an FYI for anyone else, when in doubt go with what you know. The fit of these gloves is going to be very much a personal preference.

PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT-Alpha) G

I used the fit guide and when the gloves arrive the fit was perfect. I normally do not wear gloves, these are very comfortable and do not impede Performence.

FDT-A: No better glove, at any price

Posted by Nate on 27th Oct 2013

Full dexterity means full dexterity! PIG FTD-A gloves are GREAT. I bought size Large gloves. To provide context, I am 6'0" and I consider my hands to be "average" in finger length and tending towards piano-player rather than wrench-turner thickness. The Large gloves are definitely snug; my first thought upon donning them was "Sigh. I need to return these for XLs..." They are very short, barely covering the heel of my hand. The pinky fingers are about 1/2 centimeter too long for me but then all gloves fit me that way. The fit of these gloves pulls the hand slightly towards the closed position and takes some getting used to. The difference between these gloves and other excellent brands is noticeable. I am typing this review wearing them and I can do all but the most delicate armorer tasks with no problem. I practiced manipulating my carbine too- these are the gloves to wear if you haven't been training with gloves! Super gloves... the best I've ever owned.
