PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Gloves

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Gloves offer ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available Clarino™ material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Forschette Material - Inside forschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are Clarino™ for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Gloves are a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Review of the PIG

Posted by MichaelVain on 22nd Sep 2013

All in all, this is a very good glove for the price. As indicated, this is not a glove that is going to be able to take the Zombie Apocalypse, and it's not meant for that purpose. In comparison to the Oakley Pilot gloves, the PIG is much tighter in fit which translates to better dexterity and "feel" in the fingers. I am able to reach into my pockets and retrieve items as needed such as coins, loose bullets, etc. The padded knuckle is low profile, which allows the hand alot of mobility. The only thing I do not like about the glove is the velcro band. I think the band is small and there is a stitched gap near the base of the thumb. I'm sure this is designed so that you can slip the glove on easily and maintain a very tight fit. This is probably unavoidable and certainly not a deal breaker. I ordered 1 Medium and 1 Large. I wasn't sure of my size, but the sizing chart is accurate. I was going to return the medium, but I think I'll keep it and give it to a family member.

    PIG Gloves

Great fit and dexterity. I was able to load magazines and do other tasks that require full finger dexterity with ease. Also, having never shot in gloves before, my accuracy and grip was unaffected. The only thing that would make these better would be fire retardant material, which on its way according to the sight.

These gloves are a vast improvement over the mecahnix gloves I have been using for a while now. Hopefully they hold up a little better than the mechanic.

Good padding and materials, for $35+ and all the hype they were getting i expected something a bit more amazing but still a very good pair of gloves.

    Decent enough glove

When I received my gloves, the first thing I noticed was how sharp they looked. I checked out their construction and looked to be pretty well designed. The next thing I noticed when I put them on was that they run quite a bit small. I ordered XL and even thought they might be a little loose like other XLs I've worn, but it was the exact opposite, I could barely get them on my hands. I plan on breaking them in when it cools down. I hope they have a little stretch to them.

    PIG FDT-Alpha Gloves

Good gloves so far. When I got them in the mail the stitching from the left index finger was coming undone so there was a hole. I had to stitch it up myself which was a bummer. You guys might want to physically check the items before you ship them off. I didn't call the customer service with the issue because the gloves usually run out of stock quickly and I figured it would take a while to get some new ones. I also thought the gloves were made in the USA (made in Vietnam), which probably explains the stitching. With all that said I was looking at the PIG plate carrier so I will probably call before I buy one to have someone check it before they ship it off. I previously bought an Aimpoint Pro rifle optic from SKD and didn't have any problems with the item so I'll give them another try.

    Very Awesome Glove!

Posted by Christian Sanchez on 19th Sep 2013

First of all, I purchased the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove and received it in the mail within a few days, very quick! I'm 6'2" 250lbs, so I have a big hand. I ordered the XXL glove and it fit perfectly. I have great dexterity with this glove, can manage reloading my handgun and M4 without the material getting snagged in between the mag and the well. I can even leave the glove on and use the touchscreen on my laptop in my patrol truck without having to remove it. This is a great glove and got it at a great price. My only regret....not buying another pair during the sale!!!
