PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available Clarino™ material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Forschette Material - Inside forschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are Clarino™ for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    EXTRODINARY

Posted by Larry Dodd on 7th Sep 2013

I have about 7 other gloveS that I have purchased trying to find just the right ones for tactical shooting events. My search is over...best fit and feel. Just have to use them more to see how long they will hold up to my abuse. My biggist complaint for gloves has been the stitching. Most are thick and uncomfortable and then they come undone. Hope these hold up.

PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT-Alpha) Glove

Posted by Nathaniel Goodman on 5th Sep 2013

I initially purchased a set of PIG gloves in 2012 and had some bad luck with them during a VTAC class I attended. I returned them and obtained a second pair with some revisions. I ran my new pair HARD at two Costa Ludus classes. (HE01 and CE01) Where the stitching came apart in the fingers in my first pair and they began to fall apart, the improved version had none of these issues. I abused the gloves and ran them hard for 6 days and the gloves held up. I've been in search of a high quality glove that didn't take too much away from the 'feel' of shooting. (Manipulating buttons, levers, safeties etc..) The PIG glove is the perfect glove to shield your hands from cuts, scrapes and abrasions while offering protection from high heat buildup from shooting carbines. (AK and AR) The fingertips offer enough protection yet still maintain their You don't have to suffer with thick Mech gloves any longer. Score yourself some PIG's today; they are worth every penny.

    Literally fit like a glove.

These goves were worth the wait, received them in the mail today (which was a quick turnaround from purchase). I put them on out of the package, immediately picked up my smallest carry firearm and the feel was incredible (like a second skin). Looking forward to first workout on range and they are in the bag as part of my duty equipment in armed security. Oh yeah, placed another order within hours, literally. Well, since, I have some space left... SKD's customer service is outstanding, thanks.

Great gloves, just not for combat.

First I'd like to say that I love these gloves and don't plan to buy anything but these. They feel amazing and are hands down the best gloves I've owned. That being said I wouldn't buy these gloves for a deployment or for harsh situations, unless you plan on buying more than one pair. I've gone through 2 pair in 2 months. I probably would have gone through more if they weren't sold out. If you plan on using them in harsh conditions, I would suggest you buy 1 pair per month or bring a sewing kit with you. These gloves are worth buying though.

    SKD PIG Gloves

Compared to issue nomex flight gloves or Mechanix, these are amazing, almost like you don't have on gloves at all. Definite must buy.

    Super Fast Shipping

The gloves are outstanding and fit perfectly thanks to the online sizing chart. Super fast shipping too, as they were in my hands (no pun intended) in just a few days.

    Awesome Gloves

I bought these for work gloves, but I liked them so much I only use them for range gloves. I will buy them again, but I would like the palm to be a little thicker.

    Good fit

Nice features for pulling on and off. Articulated joints keep them comfortable for long-term wear. I haven't used them while shooting yet, but the trigger fingers seem to offer plenty of sensitivity.

    Comfortable and Rugged

So, I initially bought a pair to replace the Hatch gloves I've been using for years to train and work with. These gloves have been great. I've put them through quite a beating, and they're still holding up great. They've held up so well I decided to buy a pair to wear while I work with my Search and rescue group, and those have also held up great! SKD has done us all a solid by making such a great quality, low priced glove.
