PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

These are gloves you're looking for.

I hate wearing gloves when I shoot or go hunting; I like to feel the firearm in my hands. So when I go out in the woods I don’t wear gloves no matter how cold it is.... until I found these. Nothing can describe how great these gloves are, there probably is but I can't think of it. They have dexterity and you don't lose too much of the feeling in your hands... and there kinda warm too.

    VERY Good Gloves

Best gloves I have had by far. I can see them wearing out eventually but seem like they are going to outlast all the other gloves I have used.

    Great

Fit and finish are outstanding. The way they feel when worn is similar to a good pair of military style nomex gloves (although much better quality and dexterity) Only shot with them once but they work as advertised, only gave 4 stars since I'm not sure how long they will last with heavy use. Will be ordering more when they get more in stock

    Just WOW!

Posted by OK RJ on 10th Dec 2012

Got these gloves (3 pair) in the mail about a week after I ordered them. They all fit "like a glove" (pun intended) right out of the package. I conducted a few dozen weapons manipulation drills with my AR, 1911, and Glock, did some pushups, zipped and unzipped a jacket, buttoned and unbuttoned a collared shirt, tied my Asolo's, etc. In a word: Flawless. I thought that my Oakley tactical gloves would be as close as I could get to having some real manual dexterity in a user-glove, but man, was I ever wrong! I even played an hour of COD wearing them, and didn't have any issues manipulating the controller (or drinking my beer), other than getting PWND by some 10-year old kids. LOL Thanks again for making these gloves. The thought and effort that was put into making these is apparent, and I will definitely recommend them to all of my fellow dirty contractors and MIL/LE buddies. :D

PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT-Alpha) Glove

Measured hands as per site instructions and accordingly ordered size small. Gloves arrived expeditiously but did not fit. Gave to a friend but now mediums are out of stock. Wrist width should be figured into measurements. My wrists measure 8.5" and I could not close the Velcro wrist closures.

Glad I got my order in before these sold out

Wow..considering most decent tactical gloves are twice the price, these are by far the best I have ever worn! They are so well designed that you forget you have gloves on after a while. I bought these after a friend reccommended them and can vouch for their durability. I'm stil not sure if I'm a L or an XL but ordered a L and they are right on the cusp of being to small. Hopefully the will break in. Add you name to the email list and get these damn things.

    Believe the hype...

It's justified. There's a reason these sold out completely within 72 hours of being restocked. I'm a LEO and a Firearms Instructor and I've tried most of the competitor's offerings in this category over the years. In my not-so-humble opinion, these might actually BE the ultimate shooting gloves. They aren't particularly warm - not what they're designed for - but they fit perfectly, one might say skin-tight, yet allow for full flex and range of motion, without binding or compressing. They are VERY comfortable. And after prolonged exposure in the weeds at night working an operation, the nose-wipe is a very welcome feature as the temperature drops! Durability remains to be assessed; time will tell, though they seem as well-built as any. Do yourself a favor, right now: Put in a request to be notified by email when they're restocked. When you get that email, jump with both feet (quickly; the window closes fast!). You won't be disappointed. I wasn't

Excellent fit and the dexterity is outstanding compare to past tactical gloves. No more cutting off the trigger finger of the glove!

    FDT-Alpha Glove Back-order

Posted by SFC Rock on 8th Dec 2012

I think that these gloves are exactly as advertised. They are a second skin and are priced appropriately. However, make sure to use the sizing chart and measure your hand several times to determine your size. If you must return a pair because of improper fit be prepared for a LONG, LONG wait for the new pair. I waited 8 months for them to become available initially and they were back ordered again the following day. Buying from SKD Tactical is like purchasing from a vending machine. You cannot communicate with a person except through e-mail and even then you will probably get a reply along the lines of "read the FAQ". The serious shortage of these gloves may be a ploy by the company to make the gloves more valuable in the future, you know, supply & demand? One would think that they would have a better handle on the supply side. Enough said. Carry on!
