PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    A Badass Glove

Posted by J. Cope on 30th Apr 2012

I had been looking for general purpose winter gloves that weren’t the usual Isotoner leather style, and I read a review for these on ITS TACTICAL (http://www.itstactical.com/gearcom/clothing/skd-pig-full-dexterity-tactical-glove-review/). The claim of a rugged, badass glove that could be used for anything but was specifically designed for shooting was an immediate draw. That they were cheap enough to wear out and replace at will was just a bonus. They’re not waterproof, but otherwise they are perfect for general hand protection and light thermal insulation. The hinged knuckles and thin palm and fingertip material mean very little loss of dexterity, whether working a stick shift or a charging handle. I actually found shooting with these gloves easier and more comfortable than barehanded, as they allow for all the movement you need while taking the edge off of hard or sharp surfaces. I highly recommend these for general winter use, and for shooting they are a no-brainer.

    very nice but....

Posted by Sean T. on 16th Apr 2012

Gloves fit great. Definitely love the fit, but I wore them for one full training weekend, about 16 hours total and they are already coming apart at the seams on the side of my index finger, right hand, thumb side. Not sure if got a weak pair, will try another but they seem like they are not too durable from my view...

    PIG FDT-ALPHA Glove

Posted by Unknown on 26th Mar 2012

I purchased these gloves with knowing the quality of the PIG products. I have used the PIG PC on my current deployment and I am truly impressed with the quality and comfort during long patrols. The gloves however lasted 3 patrols and began tearing apart at the seems of the knuckle protection all across the top of the right glove and in the thumb seam of the left glove displaying the blue padding underneath. The fit was great the dexterity was great but the stitching on my particular pair was very poor. I was a little dissapointed due to me expecting a higher quality of product, yet knowing they wouldnt last a lifetime. I will continue to support the PIG line of products and eventually try another pair in hopes that my previous pair had defects.

    Room for Improvement

I was highly disappointed when I received these gloves because the seam on the knuckle was already beginning to tear. I am suprised to see so many high ratings for these gloves. Maybe I just got a bad pair. The gloves are definitely sized small. The dexterity is pretty good, I just wish they were made with more quality.

Incredible range of feeling and dexterity

    Posted by J26 on 29th Feb 2012

Without sacrificing protection. Ran these in a Haley Strategic Disruptive Environments class and they performed like a champ. Pulling open doors, vaulting over walls and tearing down walls yet you can still feel the trigger reset when working a carbine and handgun. Absolutely top shelf for non-FR gloves. Only issue I encountered was both pull on ropes came off the gloves in less than 6 hours of use. I didn't return them because it looks like it would be a while before they would be replaced! Will be wearing these at all the advanced classes I do this year.

    Look no further for gloves!

I bought these for a GoRuck Challenge in the short term and to take to the shooting range in the long term. They're a little more tactical than I need, but they are EXCELLENT gloves! They fit perfectly, the pull loop is a handy feature, they seem pretty durable, the dexterity and flexibility is great, and I could go on. Whether you use them for working on the car, at the shooting range, or actually going after bad guys, these are some good gloves.

    Outstanding gloves

    Posted by O'DubhGhaill on 17th Feb 2012

These gloves are extremely well-made and fit perfectly. My hand measurements came in at the max of the Medium scale and the min of the Large. I purchased the Medium and they could not fit more perfectly. The knuckle protectors do the job without getting hung-up when going in and out of pockets. These gloves really are like a second skin, you scarcely notice them after a few minutes. I've been wearing them comfortably in 30-40 degree F weather and they are good-to-go. Lastly, the Ranger Green really is Ranger Green - the photos I've seen on a few computers give the impression that the RG is somehow brighter than it really is.

I got one pair of the Alpha Gloves. These are the best fitting gloves I've owned. To bad I can't get another color right now. Great service and fast shipping. We will be doing business again.
