PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available Clarino™ material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Forschette Material - Inside forschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are Clarino™ for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

Amazing fit, but they are falling apart!

Posted by I just want them so bad! on 11th Feb 2012

Look, I know this may be the first negative review of these gloves, but its completely honest. First, the gloves fit better than any I've ever worn. The dexterity and feel are the best on the market. Here is the concerning part...since I got them I've only tried them on a dozen or so times. They've never even seen sunlight and the seams along the cuff are blowin out, the 550 cord used to assist in putting them on rip off with even a little pull. They fit so great I'm probably going to buy another pair and hope I just got a bad set, but I start some really difficult training in a few weeks and there is no chance these will hold up. Its the biggest tease ever, part of me can't wait to wear them, but I know they are gonna fall apart on me.

shooter and searching gloves 34degree and above

Posted by Dennis Mack on 11th Feb 2012

great for searching through outer garmets and reloads on gun and rifle handling was not dimished at all used for carbine feel like second skin and very tactile feel on finger tips. enough pading on fists will not hurt with impact on soft tissue areas will hurt a little if you impact bone skull or hard cheek bone areas

    Awesome.

I received these gloves downrange. Excellent light weight glove. Dexterity is great and size is true to fit. I ordered a large with no issues. It's been a week and I use them everyday. Craftsmanship is solid. The description is spot on and they do their job. Thank you SKD for yet another excellent product.

    Fit is perfect

Feels like you're not wearing any gloves at all. The protection coverage is great! The measurements provided are pretty-spot on, use them accordingly.

    great gloves

Posted by WARREN on 9th Feb 2012

i've been hoping that a quality company would release gloves like these for awhile; and when i saw gearscout post about these a month or two ago, I knew i'd jump on them as soon as they were available. sizing was true to specifications provided on website. the thumb is the TINIEST amount too long for my hand, besides that, VERY TIGHT FIT (+) what I wasn't expecting, which was probably my lack of observation before purchasing, was the extensive perforations throughout the glove. While these definitely help keep my hands cool, for guys operating crewserves in iraq or other HOT places, i have to imagine that you'll feel 'em after you've been sitting for a few hours. (wouldn't dare call it a negative aspect of the glove though) great glove, speedy shipping, amazing price thanks guys

    Great Gloves

Posted by Nathan Engel on 7th Feb 2012

These gloves were just right for me. I have pretty large hands and long fingers. The X-large fit snug (just right), but without being too short in the fingers. The way the gloves are patterned/jointed they seem to flex in ways that are much more natural when using my AR or pistol, and the added dexterity is very significant. The flexibility in the trigger finger is noticeable, and a great improvement over any of the "tactical" gloves I've used in the past. You can tell that they were designed by someone who used their head, AND used their gloves. I think SKD underplays how durable these gloves will be, as they seem to be pretty well made. Time will tell, but until then, I'm ordering 2 more pairs.

Good gloves, but a little small

Posted by Jim Cole on 7th Feb 2012

I like the gloves. I ordered the XL but they were still a little too small. Large in other gloves fit about the same a your XL. But still good gloves.

    Nice feeling gloves

    Posted by D. S. on 6th Feb 2012

I have large hands and would have liked to get XL but they don't offer them so I went with the Lg. They seem like they'll work really well during shooting and reload drills. I hope to use them during a carbine course in the near future. I like the thinness of the fingertips and palm. I hope they keep the price affordable so I can replace when required, by then I'm thinking I won't want to shoot without them.
