PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

A Step Down from the Original

Posted by Unknown on 9th Oct 2017

I purchased the original FDT gloves when they first came out and loved them. With them no longer being in production in their original form, these were the logical next step and I have not been impressed. The threading for the touching fingers was fraying after about five minutes of use and needed to be trimmed. There is too much extra material right where I don't want it, at the tips of my fingers.. Trying to load my 870 and the extra thumb material would get caught in the magazine tube/loading gate area. Ended up having to cut the index finger and thumb off of gloves defeating the purpose of these gloves. This model also seems to have more padding over the knuckles but its just a flat panel of rubberized foam that doesn't form to your hand. If I clenched my fist it felt like the padding was still trying to remain flat and limited the dexterity. Not overwhelmed with the durability, wore out faster than the original pair.

    My favorite gloves

These are my favorite, right behind the FR PIG gloves. Great fit, quick break-in. One thing off change: a more durable finger tip material.

    Pig gloves

I like them a lot for shooting on my third pair but I was using them to take out steeps to my tree stand and took out the finger on one of the gloves so I keep them for shooting

    PIG Alpha Gloves

Great gloves for shooting but don't go and use them for work gloves. The second day I had them I shot for a few hours with them. Not problems at all. Great dexterity. Three days in I began to use them while clearing an LZ. Had to take them off as the holes in the fingers started to elongate due to wear after about a half hour of work.

Nice gloves; a little break-in helps

Posted by Unknown on 18th Sep 2017

When I first put these on, I was a little dubious. They seemed too tight, and the inner seams felt bumpy and rough. However, I broke them in by using them for driving, walking my dog, and bike-riding, for just a few days, and now they feel great, and did great at the range. They are actually a lot like biking gloves.

The gloves are great but did tear at the knuckles on their first field trip

    Initial Impressions

"Out of the Box" I loved these gloves. They fit right and they have just the right amount of dexterity. I like the coverage on the Knuckles it is not over done but seems useful. Not a lot of cuff to get in the way of watches or limit wrist bend. Overall will depend on how long they will last and while I don't expect them to last forever I do expect them last a while with hard use.

I ordered this a set of the pig gloves and got them super early. The gloves work and fit amazingly and on top of that the company is super fast and amazing about all the products if ordered and had my friends order.

Excellent fit. Been using these for a while on patrol and they are great for handling suspects, shooting and all other tasks I encounter.
