PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

If you’ve ever worn tactical gloves while shooting and wished for something better… your wish is now reality.

The PIG FDT Alpha Glove offers ground-breaking gun-handling dexterity and features that set them apart from the competition. And like ALL PIG Glove models, the PIG FDT Alphas feature Touch Screen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb for full compatibility with all your favorite devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):

  • Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available AX Suede material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • Selective Fourschette Material - Inside fourschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are AX Suede for durability.
  • Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Dual Flex Joint Trigger Finger - Providing maximum flexibility where you need it most.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, NOW BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe* - Fights against cold-weather drip. *Multicam/Multicam Black models do not have the Micro Suede Nose Wipe in deference to having more Multicam patterned material.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.

At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Alpha Glove is a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of super sensitive materials and extremely tight seams mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied. Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off.

    Bomber.

These gloves truely have a bareback feel. Take the measurements of your hand carefully, compair it to the chart size and buy with confidence. They are awesome. I gave it 4 stars only because the right index finger with the silver thread, the thread on one stick had come undone. I had to just cut it the thread off with a knife. Other than than. Bomber.

T&E of brand new carbon grey gloves; size L ....

Posted by David Lambert on 8th Oct 2015

I purchased 01/one pair of the PIG Alpha Touch gloves in carbon grey, size: L. I opened the package and noticed a few things; the wrist strap holds secure but I think the design should be longer or wider to offer a secure purchase in bad weather or rough use(armed professional, LEP-sworn LE, PMC, etc). The Velcro patch seems like it could wear out quickly or come undone. I also noticed during a brief range session; M&P Shield 9x19mm, Glock 21 gen 04 .45acp, indoor range; the silver thread had small frays and became loose. This is a complaint I also read online/customer reviews. PIG should apply a more durable or re-enforced silver fiber for the more expensive Alpha-Touch line. The tactile touch and dexterity wasn't bad. I could use my smart phone & iPad2 device but it took a few minutes to get used to it. I could work the controls on my firearms but had problems when I'd remove ammunition from the trays. Overall, I'm satisfied with the PIG Alpha Touch gloves, but it can be improved.

    Always a great choice

The gloves are great for shooting. They don't last too long, but the price is right and you can't beat the comfort.

    Good materials - odd fit

Posted by Unknown on 8th Oct 2015

Got these gloves for shooting in VERY hot humid climate in South Texas. Nice materials, good construction - real nice feel on the trigger. The fit of the glove (medium) is a little odd though - the thumb is too short compared with the rest of the fingers. It has the feel of a webbed hand - on the grip of weapon it works fine - but definitely has an odd feel to it.

Fit & work great! (but silver threads are pulling)

Posted by Defiant on 8th Oct 2015

Gloves work exactly as hoped... they really are like a second skin with ZERO bunching or "webbing" preventing a good grip on the firearms. Vs. several other carbine course attendees' gloves, you can really see how the stitched together materials of the PIG's are done for dexterity and usefulness. In SW FL summer, these were not unbearable and didn't turn hands black either. (albeit there are choices that will disperse heat better... but that may not fit/work as well) The ONLY issue, the silver threading on the fingers of both gloves immediately started to pull out and fray in all directions. The thumb of the right hand did as well. I contacted and received the response to trim and burn the threads. Will know if it worked after the next course!

Feel good, work good, quality concern

Posted by Joseph S. on 25th Sep 2015

I bought these gloves in June of 2015. I have only had the chance to use them twice. First was a range trip to feel them out. I fell in love! They are incredibly comfortable and are much more tactile than my Mechanix. The second use was at a Cola Warrior event about two weeks ago. While I used them, they save very little use. Today, I pulled them out of my range bag and noticed the stitching on the middle finger was broken and had opened up about an inch. I am dissapointed. :-( I will be following up with SKD and PIG to see what can be done. If nothing else, I hope they can use this to improve the product.
