SOTech Go Bag Extended

The Go-Bag was designed for helicopter crews and Humvee personnel, so that in the event of a crisis, they could grab the bag on the way out of the vehicle. It fits perfectly in the spaces that exist in a helicopter or Humvee, which are too small for a ruck, but could be a great storage site for an E&E bag. The options for this bag are endless. The medics fit a roll up stretcher in it, the spec ops shooters use it for E&E kits, and when you're not shooting and moving, it's a great bail-out-bag for your car, home or gym.

The tubular design gives a civilian look and masks large devices. The Extended version is 3" longer and can be used as a concealed device bag. This extended version of the Go-Bag was designed as a covert carry option for the shooters who need a device close by, while still being low profile. This is the perfect system for 17.5" devices and the upper and lower components of a similar device. This is perfect for contractor work where the principal understands the need for such devices, but the situation dictates a low profile signature. The outside has two pouches where you can store an assortment of mission related items. The inside has a Cordura covered foam divider (divider sold separately, product SGBI) for a broken down device, or any other kit your mission dictates. The stitching between the two hidden side pockets can be removed to make one long pouch for items such as extra barrels for quick-change barrel systems.

Features:

  • A main compartment with double linked zippers (dimensions: 23" x 6" x 6")
  • Internal hydration reservoir slot (canteen not included)
  • 4 zippered flat side pockets for small items or documents
  • 2 larger zippered external pockets
  • MOLLE/PALS attachment webbing on both sides
  • Padded contour single shoulder strap with quick-ditch side locking buckle
  • Shoulder attachment points and carrying handles on each end
  • Made in the U.S. out of military grade cordura cloth down to the webbing and fasteners to specifications of U.S. Special Forces

    Great Multi-purpose bag

Posted by Unknown on 25th Sep 2013

This is my second Go bag. The first had the 3 smaller pockets. the 2 larger pockets found on the extended model were a welcome improvement; although, I still get good use from the first. I was able to pack 5 days worth of clothes in this thing for a quick trip cross country. Makes a great carry on for the plane, but I'd probably stick with Black if you wanted to draw less attention at the airport. That's just my opinion. So far I've used it as an ammo dump, lunch bag, carry on, light hiking sack, and tool bag. Overall a very nice piece of gear, with a multitude of uses. Recommend to anyone seeking a light load out with easy access.

This is a must have bag!

I just got one of these after spending more on a Hazard4 Take-Down and not liking it at all. The SO Tech is slightly smaller but is very well made and thought out. I have no issue getting a 16" SR15 with a Griffin MSDII FlashComp to fit. The bag does bulge slightly but not enough for me to care about. I like the layout of the two smaller compartments and the 4 side pockets utilizing the two way zippers. I cannot say enough good about SKD's delivery time and stock updates either. They sell and ship what they have and don't lie about in stock items. If it's in stock it ships. Great company with great gear.

    All Access on-Board

Spin this off your shoulder and gain full access to its contents. Take it off completely and lay all contents bare. The sling bag version will give you a way to add your molle pouches horizontally and allow you access to their tops while the SOTech is slung in front of you. I wish the zippers were a bit beefier on the main compartment. I use this as a shooting bag . It carries the weight well and doesn't harm my shoulder. I will add some QASM buckles and nylon webbing to form a stabilizer strap. Other than that, they gave you a great platform to work from.

    Great Bag

Another great product and service from SKD. I'm setting it up for a go bag in the truck with minimalist survaval gear. The bag has plenty of room in it to store what I need to get from to where I'm going in order to gather the family and get to our safe house.

    great so far!

Bag seems well made and all the zippers seem to work. Havn't had to bail out of a burning tractor yet (i'm a farmer) so don't know if it performs as advertised but I'm happy with it.

    Love This Bag

Posted by Kilo Echo Gamma on 10th Apr 2013

I wanted a nondescript low profile bag that I could conceal an AR with during the day. SKD was its typical blazing-fast self in processing, shipping, and me receiving my bag. Bag is perfect for what I wanted. Was concerned that it was the wrong bag since AR wasn't fitting, but I realized my ACOG was adding an extra 3/4'' to the upper receivers overall length. Once adjusted it is perfecto-mundo for the bag. I ordered the insert (unfortunately SKD was out of stock or I would be reviewing that right now too) but it has not arrived yet. Even without it, I can secure my rifle so that there is no unnecessary bumpin' and grindin'. Great bag. Fantastic double stitching. Thick denier material. I'll beat the crap outta this bag with no worries.

    A nice bag

This bag is very well made. Looks great and is comfortable to carry. I use this to carry a SBR. It would be nice if there was some sort of restraining strap inside to keep the SBR from banging around but there isn't too much movement as it is.

This fits my purpose quite well.

I bought this bag to uses as a discreet carry bag for my takedown lever gun, which breaks down into two 21 in lengths. the insert seperates the sections. There is still room in the bag to stretch out my revolver belt with its drop down holster and half dozen speed loader clips. I use one of the outer pockets for ammunition and hearing protection. The second pocket is a two gun cleaning kit. The weight as packed is twenty pounds.
