SOTech Go Bag Extended

The Go-Bag was designed for helicopter crews and Humvee personnel, so that in the event of a crisis, they could grab the bag on the way out of the vehicle. It fits perfectly in the spaces that exist in a helicopter or Humvee, which are too small for a ruck, but could be a great storage site for an E&E bag. The options for this bag are endless. The medics fit a roll up stretcher in it, the spec ops shooters use it for E&E kits, and when you're not shooting and moving, it's a great bail-out-bag for your car, home or gym.

The tubular design gives a civilian look and masks large devices. The Extended version is 3" longer and can be used as a concealed device bag. This extended version of the Go-Bag was designed as a covert carry option for the shooters who need a device close by, while still being low profile. This is the perfect system for 17.5" devices and the upper and lower components of a similar device. This is perfect for contractor work where the principal understands the need for such devices, but the situation dictates a low profile signature. The outside has two pouches where you can store an assortment of mission related items. The inside has a Cordura covered foam divider (divider sold separately, product SGBI) for a broken down device, or any other kit your mission dictates. The stitching between the two hidden side pockets can be removed to make one long pouch for items such as extra barrels for quick-change barrel systems.

Features:

  • A main compartment with double linked zippers (dimensions: 23" x 6" x 6")
  • Internal hydration reservoir slot (canteen not included)
  • 4 zippered flat side pockets for small items or documents
  • 2 larger zippered external pockets
  • MOLLE/PALS attachment webbing on both sides
  • Padded contour single shoulder strap with quick-ditch side locking buckle
  • Shoulder attachment points and carrying handles on each end
  • Made in the U.S. out of military grade cordura cloth down to the webbing and fasteners to specifications of U.S. Special Forces

S.O.Tech Go Bag Extended - Ranger Green

Posted by Hannibal on 24th Dec 2012

Excellent bag, I gave it 4 stars, 5 if it was a few inches longer to accommodate a civilian/LEO Colt M4 broken down w/ a standard A2 flash hider. I know it's meant for a military version w/ a 14.5" barrel, but it works great with a little pup tent action at the top. Get the padded divider to keep the 2 halves from touching each other. Holds all my First Aid gear and 4 Pmag's in the top pouch just fine. The pictures don't do it justice. I can take in & out of my vehicles & blend better in public w/out it screaming rifle case. Forget the Co. Comm Sat bag, get the real deal, you'll be happy that you did! It arrived in 3 days to HI, S&H was FREE. AK & HI are always excluded from this offer, but not with SKD! I like the, "if you can put in the shopping cart, then it's in stock". That was so easy. All the other companies won't even an answer an email or phone call being Christmas time and they're too busy. Aloha

nice bag!! fits my pvs-14 with headgear, atn night riflescope, ammo, pistol, food and water. easy access. a little difficult to access over a LBV (hangs up a little on the pouches) but I've worked out a couple of the hang-ups and am starting to get the "hang" of this piece of gear. i agree with other comments that it could be made a little longer for a 16" barrel AR

Good go bag--just wish it was longer!

Posted by Laura on 12th Dec 2012

This bag is a pretty decent go bag. It's pretty sturdy as far as the zippers go--I've stuffed it full and no problems with the zipper teeth getting jacked up. Didn't realize when I was buying that the side zips are actually separated pockets but open with the same pair of zippers on each side (no zipper stops in between at bag's middle) which I like. Too bad the bag wasn't a bit longer, though. I have a Colt M4 and it barely fits inside. If it were a bit longer, I would also suggest pads on the ends to protect the muzzle and bolt ends of the upper receiver which do jut out against the ends of the bag at its present length. I have to be extra careful when I set the bag down on its ends to protect those parts of my weapon. The length is making it fairly difficult to get the upper receiver in/out of the bag--definitely not a quick in/out--and I'm trying to be careful not to rip or mess up the zipper teeth when pulling the receiver out. Otherwise, I like the size a lot--very undercover. :)

    Good Bag

Posted by JN on 7th Sep 2012

Overall, I am very happy with the bag. Most importantly, my AR-15 upper w/ 16" overall barrel just fit. I bought the bag specifically to carry the weapon broken down and there is plenty of room for accessories. I would have preferred more of a heavy-duty zipper, but so far it works well and allows quick access to the inside. I would've liked it to have handles on the sides, in addition to the top and bottom, but makeshift handles can be attached to the side molle if desired. It was the best bag of it's type I could find on the internet and it was priced reasonably. I attached a D-ring to the loop above the main compartment zippers to hold the zippers up. Once the velcro zipper tabs are disconnected, the D-ring makes a good handle to quickly rip the main compartment open. The bag isn't perfect for what I'm using it for, but it's pretty darn close without getting something custom made. I got lots of compliments on it and a couple coworkers expressed interest in getting one.

    Good bag.

Bought this bag for work as a crewmen in helicopters. Seems to be perfect so far. Good strong fabric and quality is awesome. A good amount of space for a small bag and more then enough for the 'grab and go' essentials.

    Good Gear but Not "Great"

Posted by Darren Britto on 18th Apr 2012

The S.O. Tech Go Bag is a good piece of gear but with a few changes / upgrades it could be a ‘great’ piece of gear. Below are some ideas that I think would make it a must have item. Shoulder Strap: SO Tech may want to think about making the entire strap removable with Fastex buckles at both ends. If the single shoulder strap was made removable an “optional” pack strap system can be made available for heavier loads. Even in its current configuration it appears that ware the strap meets and is sewn into the top of the bag material from the strap needs to be lengthened to reinforce the attachment point at the top of the bag. Zippers: None of the zippers on the bag were YKK. There may very well be zippers of higher quality but because all the ones on my bag are no-name I am concerned. I like the double zippers for the main compartment and how the pull tabs can Velcro together for quick access. Gravity will cause the main compartment zippers to slide down and cause contents to fall out.

    Great Bag

This bag is perfect for what I wanted in a small bug out bag. It's just the right size for keeping the essentials close at hand at all times. While not the primary purpose that I will be using it for, I tested it out for holding a broken-down AR. My upper has 14.5" w/perm Phantom (so about 16.2"bbl) just fit. I'm thinking a standard 16.1"bbl with flash suppressor would be a pretty tight fit. Quality of material and manufacture is excellent, and design is really good. I think this size is better than the standard Go Bag, even though it is only 3" longer, it's 3" of just right. I also like the two pouches better than three smaller ones, as the larger sized pouches will be more versitile. This is my first SOTech product, and I'm pretty happy. Overall, this bag is more than worth the money, and SKD is the best place to get it.

    Great Bag

this a great bag! Just got it, so I'm still sorting and resorting where I want things. Excellent construction, could be about another inch and half longer though. That would help with full 16" uppers. Now I'm looking for some great pouches to add to the sides!
