SOTech Go Bag Extended

The Go-Bag was designed for helicopter crews and Humvee personnel, so that in the event of a crisis, they could grab the bag on the way out of the vehicle. It fits perfectly in the spaces that exist in a helicopter or Humvee, which are too small for a ruck, but could be a great storage site for an E&E bag. The options for this bag are endless. The medics fit a roll up stretcher in it, the spec ops shooters use it for E&E kits, and when you're not shooting and moving, it's a great bail-out-bag for your car, home or gym.

The tubular design gives a civilian look and masks large devices. The Extended version is 3" longer and can be used as a concealed device bag. This extended version of the Go-Bag was designed as a covert carry option for the shooters who need a device close by, while still being low profile. This is the perfect system for 17.5" devices and the upper and lower components of a similar device. This is perfect for contractor work where the principal understands the need for such devices, but the situation dictates a low profile signature. The outside has two pouches where you can store an assortment of mission related items. The inside has a Cordura covered foam divider (divider sold separately, product SGBI) for a broken down device, or any other kit your mission dictates. The stitching between the two hidden side pockets can be removed to make one long pouch for items such as extra barrels for quick-change barrel systems.

Features:

  • A main compartment with double linked zippers (dimensions: 23" x 6" x 6")
  • Internal hydration reservoir slot (canteen not included)
  • 4 zippered flat side pockets for small items or documents
  • 2 larger zippered external pockets
  • MOLLE/PALS attachment webbing on both sides
  • Padded contour single shoulder strap with quick-ditch side locking buckle
  • Shoulder attachment points and carrying handles on each end
  • Made in the U.S. out of military grade cordura cloth down to the webbing and fasteners to specifications of U.S. Special Forces

    Awesome go bag.

Posted by gus santamaria on 22nd Nov 2011

Very well thought out, I love this bag, plenty of real estate and I'm still finding hidey holes... Standard 16" barrel AR fits (broken down) just fine. Shoulder strap is wide and adequately padded, very comfortable.

    A stand out bag

Posted by KTedford on 1st Nov 2011

Well, you could spend a month stocking, re-organizing, stripping and re-organizing this bag, and you will never run out of combinations. It is a very versatile bag and seems to be bullet-proof. My only gripe was even though I purchased the extended, the overall length was still in-capable of housing a CA legal 16" barrel upper. I mean it fit.... eventually, but don't plan on being able to access that upper in less than 5 seconds ;) It takes a little, tuggin', and pullin' and angling to get it free. Otherwise, extremely happy with the bag.

So Tech Go Bag Extended (GBX)

Posted by Carol Citty on 28th May 2011

I got this bag for my son, so I am letting him do the review. The short version: Ordered the GBX, very fair prices and shipping, and it arrived neatly and simply. I can stuff a good deal of necessities in this bag. One thing not mentioned in the description, you can fold this bag over, empty, and it will fit in the lower external pocket of a Mission Pack, with room to spare. Handy if you need the bag but are carrying the pack as well. The only things I did to the bag were remove stitching on one side to make the 2 pockets to that side into 1 long pocket. Also, this may not be known to everyone, but the zippers on the main compartment are vulnerable to gravity. Slip the velcro tabs on the zippers through the loop at the top, and they'll stay nice and secure. The GBX is excellent. It'll store a lot of gear, without being too bulky on your back. You can even let it slip to your side without feeling uncomfortable. Excellent piece of kit.

    Perfect Go-Bag

Posted by Matt Markowski on 31st Mar 2011

I just received my bag yesterday and I didn't hesitate to begin loading it up. After 6 30 round P-Mags, 2 MREs, 10 chem lights, 100' paracord, surefire light w/ 12 batteries, a sig p229 w/ 2 mags and a box of 357 sig ammo, a leatherman, spyderco military folder, and sog mini pentagon knife, I still have room in this bag. I also attached a beta C-mag 100 round drum to the outside. It's all ready to go.

    Great Bag

Posted by Phil on 21st Sep 2010

I have this bag set up as a go bag. It has plenty of room for first aid supplies, 2 MRE's, & some camping essentials. I love the MOLLE on the sides so much i added some to the strap for my admin pouch. There are side compartments that have a good amount of storage space but I'm afraid the zippers come undone fairly easily. It would also be a nice covert rifle case. Overall very sturdy and it has plenty of storage.

    Great All Around Bag

    Posted by D.M. on 15th Sep 2010

I just recieved my S.O. Tech Extended Go Bag and I love it. I ordered it in Ranger Green, was not so sure if I wanted the color at first, I was waiting for a month to see the Khaki option updated to the inventory but it wasnt happening so I said screw it and went with Ranger Green, very pleased with it. The bag is great for cycling, riding gators, and walking around. Just be mindful of CSMs walking around who cite the AR 670-1 Army Uniform Policy and tell you that wearing it across your body is unathorized... drink water and move on. It was able to hold more than I expected. I fit a set of APFU's, 6 Tshirts, a pair of Oakley A-Frame Assault Goggles, Racket Balls (set of 3) and Shemagh with no problem. Even had some room to spair. The outside pouches are great for odd items like gloves, belts and other misc items. I think the size of the bag, coupled with the fact that it can carry well over 3 days worth of clothing and small gear makes it a great all around option.

    Unbelievably Handy

Posted by Jim Abbott on 10th Sep 2010

This little bag (SOTech extended Go Bag) has been one of my most carried bags this deployment. It is uniquely shaped and can consequently fit places other bags cannot. It can also be thrown on over other equipment or beside a standard pack or rucksack. I have carried class 1 items (food, water, etc.), clothing, sleep systems, and even weapon systems. It regularly carries my M320 or a folding stocked AK 47, with ammunition in molle pouches attached externally to the pals webbing on the sides. This is an invaluable and versatile piece of equipment.

    Great Bag

    Posted by A M on 14th Jul 2010

I got this bag right before my deployment to Afghanistan it so far it has worked out perfect. I used it to carry my personnel stuff like shaving kit and change of clothes on the flight out, It is now my go bag for missions. It really helps to have a bag the that can be slung on your back or front when your running to and from helicopters. It carries everything i need and a little extra if i put some pouches on the side. It carries alot better than the three day bag I used last time, because it dosen't cut off circulation and fits well over my kit unlike a normal three day bag/ backpack does.
