SOTech Go Bag Extended

The Go-Bag was designed for helicopter crews and Humvee personnel, so that in the event of a crisis, they could grab the bag on the way out of the vehicle. It fits perfectly in the spaces that exist in a helicopter or Humvee, which are too small for a ruck, but could be a great storage site for an E&E bag. The options for this bag are endless. The medics fit a roll up stretcher in it, the spec ops shooters use it for E&E kits, and when you're not shooting and moving, it's a great bail-out-bag for your car, home or gym.

The tubular design gives a civilian look and masks large devices. The Extended version is 3" longer and can be used as a concealed device bag. This extended version of the Go-Bag was designed as a covert carry option for the shooters who need a device close by, while still being low profile. This is the perfect system for 17.5" devices and the upper and lower components of a similar device. This is perfect for contractor work where the principal understands the need for such devices, but the situation dictates a low profile signature. The outside has two pouches where you can store an assortment of mission related items. The inside has a Cordura covered foam divider (divider sold separately, product SGBI) for a broken down device, or any other kit your mission dictates. The stitching between the two hidden side pockets can be removed to make one long pouch for items such as extra barrels for quick-change barrel systems.

Features:

  • A main compartment with double linked zippers (dimensions: 23" x 6" x 6")
  • Internal hydration reservoir slot (canteen not included)
  • 4 zippered flat side pockets for small items or documents
  • 2 larger zippered external pockets
  • MOLLE/PALS attachment webbing on both sides
  • Padded contour single shoulder strap with quick-ditch side locking buckle
  • Shoulder attachment points and carrying handles on each end
  • Made in the U.S. out of military grade cordura cloth down to the webbing and fasteners to specifications of U.S. Special Forces

Great all around tactical bag & weapon carrier

Posted by C. Davidson on 12th Jul 2010

I bought this bag while I was in Iraq and used it to carry three days worth of personal gear back and forth into the country. This is the second S.O. Tech Go Bag Extended I have purchased and will use it for both carrying my broke down weapon in CONUS and as a carry-on airline bag for my personal gear. Is just about the right size for carrying two to three days worth of clothes while traveling and is easier to carry and transport than a regular backpack. Very versatile bag and is perfect for pilots needing to carry your gear in an aircraft but do not want to take up too much space with a flight bag or backpack. Hook a carabiner into the top carry handle and you can store it vertically and out of the way but have easy access. Perfect all around bag...plus it looks unusual and cool too! You've got to get one! You need one.

    Well made and versitile

I use this bag to carry my m4 without drawing too much attention. It works well with a 16" barrel rifle with no flash suppressor. I can keep four P-mags in the side pouches and they are invisible. I ordered mine in black and it draws no attention on plain clothes operations. Rips open easily and within a few seconds my upper and lower are together and ready to go to work.

    Excellent for its intended purpose

Posted by RTR on 23rd Apr 2010

I've had this bag now for several months and it is THE perfect unit for a helicopter cockpit "go-bag". I have everything I need (and more) in it while the cylindrical shape allows for easy storage and quick removal with the minimum of snagging points unlike most bags with their multitude of straps. The handles on both ends are great for "ambidextrous" removal while the MOLLE on the sides allows for additional pockets or whatever suits your fancy. The only two small issues I have is that the black color easily accepts color transfer from just about anything and that if the main compartment is not filled the bag will collapse on itself and not "sit up straight". Overall I'm very satisfied with this bag and recommend it to all my aircrew friends; you won't be disappointed!

    A little small

you will want the padded insert for sure. If you have a 16.5" it will be a little small. I also cant leave my front grip on as it makes the upper to tall with my comp2 still on. I like the bag alot it just could be a little bigger all around.

Perfect as a slim, discrete gun bag

Posted by Mike on 26th Dec 2009

This is may not be the best choice for protecting your weapon, but as a carry bag it is unbeatable. like all SOTech items, it is well made. It rides well when you sling it on. 10.25", 11.5", and 14.5" barrels will fit in no problem, but the 16.5" barrel has to be crammed in and the flash hider pops up the cloth noticably.

    great bag

This bag is perfect for keeping things desceet. My AR15 lower and upper fit just right in this bag. Also, ordered the padded sleave that fits in the bag so your prize posession doesnt get banged up when on the move. Zipper compartments are great for storing almost anything. A must have bag..!
