I have the original on several rifles and they work great. I recently added the new version to a 6.5cm AR10 I built, my only complaint is that you don't give the option to chose the size of bag when placing the original order, you have to buy a larger bag separately while tossing the original bag in a drawer.
Works well with the BALS Mk-2 Gen 2 system; a good addition, complements the system and makes the whole BALS system very versatile.
The BALS bag that ships with the product as OE is slightly too small, even for bench shooting with a short bipod. Forget trying to use it prone. The medium sized bag is a perfect mix of length & girth (snicker, snicker). All the ladies at the range ask me about my enlarged BALS and want to feel them. Just sayin'...
This one is better than the one that comes In the kit for the cheek pad. This should be an option when buying the whole kit.
great to have an extra set of Large BALS, I swap mine out when the smaller BALS aren't performing right. the Large is just the right size.
The different size bags make such a great difference in the utility of overall product- cudos SKDTAC
I ended up getting two sizes of the enlarged balls. The medium and the large. The original bag is just a little to small to be comfortable in my hand. The medium size back works great for active shooting and the large bag works great for a prone shooting session. The bags are easy to switch out too so its not cumbersome to take more than one to the range.
Just as well constructed as the stock BALSl, only bigger.
