Magpul MBUS Back Up Rear Sight, Gen 2
The new MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) GEN 2 is a low-cost, color injection molded, folding back-up sight. The dual aperture MBUS Rear Sight is adjustable for windage and fits all MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail equipped weapons, but is specifically tailored to the AR15/M16/M4 platform.

Features
- Impact resistant polymer construction provides light weight and resists operational abuse
- Spring-loaded flip up sight easily activated from either side or by pressing the top
- Detent and spring pressure keeps sight erect but allows for unobstructed folding under impact, etc.
- Clamps to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/STANAG 4694 receiver rail and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons
- Protective wings shield the dual flip apertures
- Detent knob easily and positively adjusts windage

Awesome Back Up Sight
This is a geat back up sight option for any rifle. I have tried a troy Industries on a friends rifle and I have a Samson on one of my AR's. The metal ones are really good but magpul did thier homework on these. The ease of deployment and the new lower profile are just phenomenal. They are also light weight and from my experience plenty strong. I would highly recommend these. It may be at a bargain price but its definately top tier in quality and design.

An Awesome Sight
I haven't had any problems with this sight. It's very easy to flip up and down and doesn't wobble at all in either position. It's easy to adjust as well.

Great Sights
I purchased these sights not too long ago. After the opening of the box, I found that Magpul had vertually eliminated all the problems the Gen 1 had with the front and rear sights. Aside from some asthetics and design changes, these sights are right on par. My only concern is that they dont make the front in Aluminum yet so it can be mounted to gas blocks, although, if you have a piston system I've found it doesnt matter. Great product!

New Version is a better fit.
I had a Gen 1 MBUS and while I liked it, it was a bit tight under my Accupoint 1x-4x in my GG&G mount. But the Gen 2 has plenty of clearance. And at an affordable price and light weight I don't feel bad putting it on a rifle that has a main optic that is not likely to fail. Great value for the money in a 0-200m sight. What also works well is sighting it in at 25m with my .22lr conversion kits and just un-mounting my main optic. At the end of the session just click back to 5.56 zero, shoot a group of 5 at 200 to confirm zero and call it good. 4 stars (but really more like 4.5) because I would really like to see square cross bolts instead of round ones.
