Magpul STR Carbine Stock, Mil-Spec
The Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) is a drop-in replacement butt stock for AR15/M16 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. A storage-capable version of the CTR®, the STR has improved cheek weld and two water resistant battery tubes on a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design. A shielded operation lever and supplemental friction locking system prevent accidental operation and minimize excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy.*
The STR incorporates two integral sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
NOTE: There are two basic sizes of M4 Carbine receiver extensions (buffer tubes): mil-spec and commercial-spec. If you have a commercial-spec extension on your rifle, make sure to order the Commercial-Spec STR. Please see the "Related Info" section above to determine which tube you have.

I didn't think I'd like it...
...but I needed CR123 storage in my buttstock and wanted to go as light as possible without comprimising quality. Much better looking in person than in pictures. It's wide... very wide... Much more solid than the MOE it replaced and the weight gain was insignificant. Cheek-weld is fantastic and lockup/fit is perfect on my M400 buffer tube.

STR Stock
Very nice stock. It locks up very solid on all 5 extended positions, and has very little wobble in the completely collapsed position. I like that it has the long storage tubes underneath the cheek weld. Great place to store cleaning supplies like a pull through wire with brushes, etc. on one side, and batteries on the other. Installation required the use of the included 5.56 snap cap. I saw it in the box and at first thought it was a mistake. Great design because you can't over extend the lever and pull the stock off without the snap cap. Plus I can now do ftf drills on the range - wasn't an option before, because my rifle is awesome and fires everything. haha.

Magpul str
I love this stock, have used ace CRT moe lmt sop mod vltor e and I mod and this is the best stock at the best price. Perfect combo between size weight and storage. Smaller than acs bigger than CRT... Perfect. The rubbe butt pad negative pitch butt plate and cheek weld make for a solid platform for CQT

Magpul STR is worth the money.
Once again fast and free shipping SKD. The STR doesn't look all that great but is really comfortable I prefer the ACS-L but the str doesn't lack anything at all. You have to rest your cheek on it to feel the difference. Also it's heavier than a standard A2 and will help move the center if your rifle toward you.

Excellent stock!!
Great quality as expected from Magpul. As for SKD they were the only place to have this in stock in OD green and at a better price than anywhere else, even ebay! I will definately by back with my business.

Great stock!
Stock locks solid and has a great check weld, not too heavy either. Skd had very fast shipping too, took three days for standard shipping, plus not many people carry thing stock currently. Overall I recommend skd and the str stock

Great Stock! Typical magpul quality.
Just looked for an upgrade over the CTR stock for a better cheekweld. Was going to be this or an IMOD. This stock is comfortable and lightweight. Fits extremely solid on my mil-spec tube. No complaints here plus the 10% off for memorial day was fantastic!

Magpul STR stock
I purchased the STR stock to replace a CTR stock - I wanted a better cheek weld than the CTR could provide. The STR has excellent cheek weld, very similar to a Sopmod stock, is lighter than the Sopmod, and balances out my rifle nicely. Very nice!
