The ALL-NEW PIG Air-Flow/Comfort (AFC) Pontoons (Pat. Pend.) enhance the capabilities of current and up-coming PIG designs, including the PIG Brigandine Plate Carrier and the PIG gRUNT Modular Pack.

Based on the wildly popular airflow channel pads on the PIG Plate Carrier, the AFC Pontoons give you the same comfort and ventilation performance, while providing the user the option of removal when needed. The AFC Pontoon Set can be added to the back or front carrier, or you can order 2 sets to add padding and ventilation to both.

For PIG BRIG Plate Carrier users, AFC Pontoons are perfect when wearing the BRIG with stand-alone plates over a shirt to provide ventilation, padding and additional comfort. When wearing the BRIG over soft armor, simply remove the AFC Pontoons to minimize stand-off as ventilation on top of a soft armor vest is moot.

When using the PIG gRUNT Modular Pack as a stand-alone day pack, the AFC Pontoons provide rigidity and comfort to compliment the PIG Shoulder Straps perfectly. Look for additional upcoming PIG designs that utilize the AFC Pontoons.

    The Pontoons work great, setting the carrier off your chest and back, make it extremely comfortable and lets air in. Good idea by SKD.

    I haven't exactly tried these out yet, as I've bought them to DIY them to my Shellback Banshee. I can speak on the material and build quality though, to which the foam used is nice and stiff and the stitching is top notch. I only would suggest that maybe a universal form of them be made, maybe with two sheets of hook material so that one can apply them to plate/armor carrier they would like.

    Quality is good and very comfortable to wear. Positions of armor pocket cover vital body parts. Quality of sewing seams is well done. Excellent for home defense and/or quick deployment. Modular set up and capability of adding soft and hard armor without restriction to movement is impressive. PIG BRIG CR, 4 Mag feels a bit flimsy with 10 round Mag, (California compliant Mag). PIG BRIG Shoulder Pad Set makes system comfortable but not too bulky. PIG BRIG CR, All-Molle [SYSTEMA] is useful but I would have liked to see more G hooks added to give me some additional options. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, initially I was planning on a PIG plate-carrier but you did not have it in multicam so got the PRIG and I am glad I did. However customer service is strange I have sent an email to customer service and received no response. I agree that my question cold have been strange but as a customer I would expect some sort of response. Thank you, Great product!!!

    They do as they are designed, creating a small gap that allows air to circulate around the PC.

    This is a product that only someone who has spent his time in the dirt can appreciate.. alleviates plate contact points, and helps air circulation to your core. If your plate carrier doesn't have the sewed in hook to accomodate... shoo goo it in like I did... DIY MOFO..
